  1. They will have obligations to meet on minimum numbers on the critical safety things that will need to be maintained regardless. Catering and cleanup I can see but they’ve been cut back anyway. I was thinking how little mess was in the stadium post game actually when I was leaving yesterday. Perhaps we should all start bringing in litter to make him pay for cleanup with no revenue.
  2. It’ll be all over social media. It’ll be all over here and other forums It’ll be all over the radio. Rob Staton will almost certainly interview someone live from the Trust on Radio Sheffield promoting it. I bet there will even be a BBC Sport article on it. Anyone who claims ignorance is being deliberately obtuse to avoid their collective responsibility. If you don’t agree and want to go I respect that. But claiming ignorance is a gigantic cop out.
  3. I hope so. I’m a season ticket holder. I’ve never been a drinker at games except for the odd occasion. I’ve had a very easy protest so far. I’ll boycott this game and he’s not having an another renewal from me. Together we can force him out. It will be hard and will probably take longer than most will hope. Save your money folks. Spend it on your family. And when he’s gone you can come back knowing you did your part.
  4. Message in full from email: Fellow Wednesdayites, The crisis at Sheffield Wednesday under Dejphon Chansiri’s ownership is not a short-term slump; it is a long-term issue. It has been years of decline, division, and disconnection from the community that has given this club life. In solidarity with fellow supporters who yesterday risked jobs and livelihoods to protest against Dejphon Chansiri, we today announce the next stage in our campaign to convince him to sell our club. We ask our members and wider fanbase not to purchase season tickets during any early-bird phase of sales, which we believe is likely to come earlier than ever before, possibly even during October. We’re asking everyone who can, including season ticket holders, to go a step further now and enact a full boycott of the home game against Middlesbrough, live on Sky on 22nd October. The Middlesbrough game is a prime opportunity to communicate to Chansiri via national media that we will not continue to fund our own decline. Your empty seat will speak louder than a thousand words. Instead, we ask supporters to watch the Middlesbrough game at your local pub in Sheffield, ensuring your hard-earned money stays in our community. Meanwhile, our defunding campaign has been a success, but the single biggest financial lifeline available to the Chansiri regime remains season ticket revenue. That cash flowing into the club could keep Chansiri around for months. It must be denied to him. Every pound spent in the ground helps to extend his campaign of destruction. Every penny saved to spend under a new owner brings our brighter future one small step closer. The retail boycott has already shown the strength of our collective action. Its impact has been real, it has been felt, and it can be seen in every shuttered kiosk and closed fanzone. Change will come when we all understand the power we hold together. Use it. Embrace it. And together we can build a better future for Sheffield Wednesday
  5. I’d say most football fans have far, far more that unites us than divides us. You get the odd herbert or two but vast majority know that what’s happening here or did at Reading or Bury can happen to anyone.
  6. Just in time for Englands tour of New Zealand. He’ll be delighted
  7. Him and Brown have been rare positive in this whole miserable affair. All the youngsters have been a credit to themselves.
  8. You’re correct. It’s not going to be 1st November and gone. But we have a long record of him being an utter moron. This is the guy who couldn’t even sell the stadium to himself without making a mess of it. When it comes down to it we’re dealing with a quarter-wit. It’ll take time but it will end eventually.
  9. Should have gone to jump
  10. Sacked in the morning was sung tonight. It’s not going well for Ange. Time to get Dyche on the phone.
  11. Overall a poor contract. Not his fault. But not value for money (reportedly up to £40K which is a huge sum) First two years not great and often injured/unavailable Year 3 showed his class Year 4 good then left under a bit of a cloud.
  12. Personally I think you’d be wasting your time. It’s like arguing with an hardcore antivaxer. Anyone who’s able to be persuaded isn’t buying anything. 99 out of 100 it’s just the contrarian types left. I roll my eyes and move on with my day. You’ll never convince everyone. It’s very successful despite the few with main character syndrome
  13. And if you wear a not a penny more scarf and do the opposite then you’re asking for someone to question your choice.
  14. Course you do. I certainly don’t condone pickets, abuse or anything like that but if you don’t support a boycott or don’t care then own your choice. Don’t expect people to not give an opinion
  15. And a points deduction
