Only option now is players refusing to play
Tollertonowl replied to SheffWed's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Everyone knows and appreciates the issue so lets not get stupid... Already we have fans turning on their own fans who have season tickets and are turning up... Surely positive protests are what is going to gain support and not negative cr@p... -

Waddle on Bannan's legend status
Tollertonowl replied to YesWeCrann's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
He could have left for a good last pay day, but instead decided to put his families happiness and SWFC first... He was already an SWFC legend IMO, but that just cemented it for me.... -
I think the point was made in the Leeds match, as Kop and North stand were empty... Also SWFC are a big club and maybe some supporters just wanted to be there to back the team - so shouldn't be knocked for attending.... I am also not sure that I fully agree with boycotting matches to financially impact DC as IMO we should just be supporting the team (especially SWFC Jnrs) and also the fact that DC is clearly not a businessman so probably doesn't care... FFS DC wants more than double the club value to sell regardless of the issue being raised in parliament... I personally think that getting other teams to play against us in Black/Gold or their fans to support our cause in other ways (Joint Protests) is the best way to go for SWFC along with the our small team beating the odds...

Nice touch by Wrexham fans
Tollertonowl replied to Owling Wolfe's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I watched them against Southampton and if Kiefer Moore had just squared the ball across to Windass for a tap in before the break then they would have been 2 goals up and then a completely different game... I might be wrong from the last 2 games I watched him play, but IMO Kiefer Moore cost the Blunts promotion and Wrexham a result in their first game so I don't rate him as a £2MM player... They (Wrexham) also looked pretty descent to watch as played good attacking/pressing football and with Windass playing reminded me a little bit of us after turning the corner under DR... I also appreciate their fans support, but hopefully the kids so that we can keep within touching distance of a great escape come the new year and owner(s). -
Whereas they just normally disappear...
-
The thing I like most out of all this is the kids being given a chance - no pressure....
-
I know things are bad at the moment, but it is also good to see the U23's step up accordingly...
-
Watching him on the touchline I suspect that he is giving himself a harder time than you are from the side-lines... Plus he could have just left and got himself a good final pay day elsewhere, but has instead chosen to stay so I struggle to hear a word against him at the moment... The first Leicester goal was clearly offside as their player was at least 5yds off before running back into play, which was somehow missed by the linesman?!? So I get his frustration for the descent and then the 2nd yellow was correct, but after missing the offside/ soft yellow - I couldn't believe he was sent off... IMO the result today was determined by the EFL officials who should have disallowed the first Leicester goal, as clearly offside and Baz wouldn't have been booked for descent if they just did their jobs... In terms of Baz he can do what he wants for me as clearly cares about the club, fans, community and city. If Baz didn't care he could have left for a last final pay day with others accordingly

Leicester- V - Wednesday
Tollertonowl replied to Lord Snooty's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
In slow motion footage the 2nd yellow was arguably correct - even if it looked like a 50/50 in real time footage... However, it wasn't as clear cut as the Leicester first goal, which didn't need any slow motion to determine it as offside given their player was about 5 yards offside before running back into play... I therefore get why Baz was booked for descent as the officials were horrific and as is all to often in the EFL it was the officials actions (not the players) that determined the end result. Then the fact that Baz was clearly eating himself alive on the touch line after made things worse, as we all know that he is Mr SWFC and sacrificed a last final contract to stay and fight for the club.... -

What's your issue with the post as makes sense to me? -
Leicester- V - Wednesday
Tollertonowl replied to Lord Snooty's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
As it was borderline if he touched the ball or not I could maybe argue that he was involved in play... And in terms of being offside when the ball was kicked that isn't even debatable... -

Ref must have been man of the match for them as surely the first goal was offside and the Bannan sending off the cherry on the cake... -

Me Too as first goal for them looked offside to me and sending off was harsh.... -

I think if we can win this game it is better for Wednesday as this along with avoiding relegation and even getting promoted - just shows that we show when all odds are against us... -
PLEASE READ : SWFC TRUST FIGHTING FUND

It will annoy DC if we manage to get everyone to chip into this fighting fund as his request for the customers to donate towards the £2MM HMRC bill didn't go down well... -

366 people have donated so far @ £8.9K and if every fan took it seriously then we could easily get above £500K and actually have a meaningful amount to do something worthwhile. -

Tollertonowl replied to Daniele Giovanni's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I had a weird dream last night that we actually went top of the table after the first games. -
IMO we need to stop the first game with an on the pitch protest and get the Leicester fans on the pitch aswell.
-
Is this the worst day ever?
Tollertonowl replied to danblakemore's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
We need to stop all home games with protests on the pitch… -
Would a pitch protest stopping home games work so that all games are played behind closed doors or away... That way the fans could ensure that Chansiri got no money until he sold and fans with season tickets if unable to watch games could legitimately claim back season ticket costs... Even thousands of small claims against the club with MCOL would cause absolute mayhem for his legal team....
