Unfortunately my Grandad and Dad passed away whilst I was a kid. I have only just discovered this recently whilst tracing my family tree. Good to know that my family have been owls since the beginning of the Football Club.

This is my Great Grandfather Edwin Dalton who in the mid 50's wrote to the then Sheffield Wednesday Manager Eric Taylor to tell him that he had been a supporter of Wednesday since it joined the football league. As an appreciation for his support Eric Taylor sent him a lifetime season ticket. This picture was taken by the Sheffield Star for a story they ran about him.

Did Westwood have to make a save all afternoon against a team in 2nd place....No. I honestly couldn't see them scoring this afternoon and 2nd half we looked like a team who meant business. He is doing the best he can with what he has so fair play from me Stu.

I know the results aren't great lately and we are not scoring but we have been in worse situations. But I cannot remember in 25 years of watching Wednesday it being so poor an atmosphere at Hillsborough. Is it just the results or us it something else? Or has it been worse than this but I can't or won't remember. Is this a one off season or something else.

Now that was one hell of a team!

Has been released by Burnley. Could he do a job for us?

We need to be looking at quality not quantity. Look at Burnley, they were touted as relegation candidates. A clear out is long overdue and it should not be based on sentiment but sense.

It doesn't guarantee anything and can't see it happening in the pre season but to get the players we need to be competitive Milan will need to spend and not rely on freebies and loans.

If what Milan says is true then we may spend a bit of money next season to push on. But who was the last player we spent a million on?
