What’s the timescales of the injured players ?
FlyingOwl replied to Kopparberg's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Or they're playing a lot more football at a much higher intensity... ..and this squad in particular are being pushed to their limits. I'm actually surprised we've not had more injuries. -

Charles - imminent Chalobah - back in training Kobacki - had a setback Brown - probably not back till mid-late December Bernard - think he's back running but still ages off seeing him considering he's been out for a year, no pre season etc. Weaver - out for the season -
Your team vs Sheffield United …

Charles (think we've kept our cards close to our chest on this one) Fusire Iorfa Cooper (experienced enough to manage himself) Lowe Amass Valery Svante Baz Lowe Cadz -
Liam Palmer to break Andrew Wilsons appearance record.
FlyingOwl replied to Wiggo's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Given his entire life to this club. Childhood to probably retiring. Played in umpteen positions. Scored the most important goal in post 90's history. Been a model professional throughout. No scandals. Good family man. Kept fit & mostly available. Maybe one red card off the top of my head? Tonnes of charity work. People will argue the throw over the word legend & who deserves it. But I despair at people who scoff, send laugh reactions etc when Liam's name even comes into the equation. What else could he possibly do to earn it?- 32 replies

Wasn't a slight at Lowe. He's done a good job in horrible circumstances. I just genuinely, from when I've watched either player, think Watmore is someone who offers more. But again, I think Redmond is who I'd go for as he's entirely different a sort of player altogether.
-
Anyone moaning really doesn't understand why these signings are being made and, in the circumstances, either Watmore or Redmond are still better quality than Jamal Lowe or Ike Ugbo. However, these signings aren't being made to improve the squad/quality of play etc (if that happens then bonus) They're signings that are being sanctioned, and are needed, because we desperately need bodies. We need to give players a rest. The squad needs rotational options urgently before AFCON & the christmas period starts. We're not out of the woods as a club. These are beggars can't be choosers times. Chuffed with Liam Cooper as a signing. If I got to choose, I'd prefer Redmond over Watmore. But tbh I'm hoping Watmore hangs on for the takeover and we can get him in also as I've always felt he's a handy forward.

Supertram Changes on Sunday for the Sheffield Derby

I'm an ambulant disabled person (can walk unassisted but only about ten mins or so before needing a break/triggering pain. So this entirely ruins my plans. -
Let's Get The Scrubbers Of S2 Sold Out!
FlyingOwl replied to BIG D's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Will entirely depend on the type of takeover we get & the noise that comes out of the club afterwards. Market things well & people will still stick with it. -
Killian Barrett / pierce Charles
FlyingOwl replied to Barnsleyowl1996's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
But we usually do matchdays with three keepers in the building/on the pitch warming up don't we? On the off chance Horvath/Stretch pulled up or fell ill during the warm ups - Barrett would be then on the bench I also doubt we'd send Barrett away if Charles was nowhere near. It means Horvath gets benched & Stretch can play some games for the under 21s. Then we do a rethink in January. -
All Home Games Until End Of Year Now On Sale

Will be announced imminently. -
I believe showing proof of funds is part of the process that allows parties to be allowed access to club accounts, private info etc
-
To temper excitement (and I am excited) - there's a huge difference between declaring interest & providing proof of funds, which allows them to do their due diligence on the club etc, and actually bidding. That being said, I agree. I never thought we'd be in this position a few weeks ago. And to make the effort to come to Sheffield can only be positive news. I've just seen an awful lot of people assume that 11 parties providing proof of funds = 11 bids. Which won't be the case.

Absolutely, precisely zero chance of the points deduction being reduced. It's hard and fast rule. You go into admin, it's automatic -12.
-
From what I understand, he was asked first to do the draw a couple of weeks ago before Blue & White Night became a thing & the legends were asked back.
-
This I'd imagine, if Hunt does sign, he'll be here to A: Provide a rotational option/cup games etc B: Help bring others on He won't be a starter.
-
We'll be in League One Fusire + someone else will be good competitors for that role I imagine. Fusire isn't the first Wednesday academy product to play midfield initially and be converted successfully to a RB...
-
Mark Beevers was there on Wednesday night so I think the club are keen to mix the generations now
-
He is what he is, erratic but in almost an endearing way. Regardless, he's come in - in impossible circumstances, and put in at least two MOTM performances. For an emergency goalie, where the EFL basically cornered us into scraping the barrel, he's done absolutely fine & doesn't deserve half the stick he's had.

In Positive Points Before The Derby ...?
FlyingOwl replied to paullie's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Think HP said none of the injuries we have are due back before the international break. Only Charles is back training. Kobacki & Chalobah had setbacks -
In Positive Points Before The Derby ...?
FlyingOwl replied to paullie's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Palmer, Lowe, Iorfa, Valery, Ingelsson, Bannan all playing pretty much every single minute. Amass, since signing, also playing every minute so far of his first ever senior loan. Like someone else said. The only time we're rotating the team are the forwards (trying to land on a system that works) and when someone gets injured. They also didn't have a great pre season. Let's not forget the mental toll of the season so far too. Ingelsson in particular is putting in some serious yardage & looks exhausted. -

Expecting too much. These are poor teams. But they're poor teams with depth & quality still that I'm envying. Our lads are absolutely knackered. I feel like we could win tonight, if Hillsborough rocks hard enough (that & Manning being honking for Norwich and their players probably playing to get him sacked) -
Norwich City match could have MONUMENTAL consequences
FlyingOwl replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Because watching all that, followed by a flat atmosphere & moaning old goats will probably feel a bit flat & anti climatic -
Has been like that for the entirety of our partnership with macron i believe these are just the UK team shirts macron sell on their website. Nothing to do with bespoke designs or any hints towards next seasons kits (the design already finalised I believe)

If it was a night time game it would have been fine - as it improved in the shade. But the glare of the sun made it really impossible
