It should do and, as a Season Ticket holder, I agree that the 4 game package is good value. Playing Devils Advocate, I can also see that folk who have turned up today for the first time this season might think that ‘I’m not paying four times to watch that garbage’

I'm the same. From what's been said, I'm expecting one anytime soon. -
Rawson and Hillsborough Tap are opening and serving from 08:00, Barracks 09:00. Park and Jockey have 10:00 licenses.

You're right that started with covid, it only happens pre-match, never after the game or at any other time in the pub. The staff don't like it, ask Steph. When the queue is long and snaking into the function room, the pub looks fuller than it is and punters walking into the pub see that and go elsewhere. It takes longer to get served because folk stood in the queue are busy chatting and are so far back from the bar that they don't know that staff are waiting to serve them. When stood in a queue at any bar, just try and remember that you're in a pub, not in feckin' Tesco's.

The atmosphere at the Oxford game was great without the band. i don’t know where you get jealousy from. I watched the Oxford game from my seat on The Kop. I wasn’t sat there thinking I wish I was at The Etihad going parp, parp, toot, toot, bang bang bang in support of England.

Thank you club shop staff

As far as I know, the rule is coming in for next season. -
It’s not just about the atmosphere at S6 1SW, it’s also about their loyalty and priorities. The Oxford home game, a momentous day in the history of our Club, an almost full house for the first game after chancer’s ousting when all Owls fans were asked to get behind the team, coaching staff and the Administrators. The band played their part by going to The Etihad to support England.

Very good Thornbridge beer at £4.00 a pint last time I went in there. The price will have gone up since then, I boycotted the place season before last to stop giving owd tuna any money.

Most of the side roads are closed to through traffic and restricted to residents in possession of a parking pass.

I started the thread after the Oxford game. It was their silence, and my suspicion that they were at The Etihad, that prompted my post.

We played Norwich at home last year on Tuesday, 5th November 2024. Attendance was 22,731, that is more of a comparison than the one you're quoting on a spring April evening in 2023.

NORWICH GAME - Let's get Norwich sold out now!
wisewoodowl replied to The_Ghost_Of_91's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
The big drive here is to raise money for the Administrators to use to keep the Club functioning as well putting on a show for potential buyers of our Club. Who would you suggest should fund the free scarf that’s left on your seat? There’s plenty on sale in the Club shop. -
SWFC Trust donates £20,000 to the club !
wisewoodowl replied to andypandy's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Don’t have a go ‘cos I’m pretty thick anall, but… .,;the administrator cannot guarantee that the Club will be sold, nor can they guarantee that there will be a club in season 2026/27. IMO, if the Administrators sell ST for next season, they are creating more creditors to join those who have years left on the 3, 5, and 10yr deals that owd tuna sold. -
Owls Foundation - Get Signed Up!!
wisewoodowl replied to oh_weds_we_love_you's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I’ve heard that said before but he should never have been able to get his mitts on money that was held on behalf of HMRC. It’s all water under the bridge now. I know why I cancelled my membership, that reason does not exist now and I rejoined last weekend. -
Owls Foundation - Get Signed Up!!
wisewoodowl replied to oh_weds_we_love_you's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I emailed Hazel to reinstate my membership last weekend. She has managed to rejoin me on my old Foundation ID number and re-activated my direct debit. The staff at Hillsborough are brilliant. -
From 'One Hundred Years at Hillsborough' Although it is widely assumed that the club's nickname changed to The Owls in 1899 after the club's move to Owlerton, it was not until 1912, when Wednesday player George Robertson presented the club with an owl mascot, that the name took hold. A monkey mascot introduced some years earlier had not brought much luck
-
This summer also witnessed one highly significant event, when the Wednesday player, George Robertson, presented the club with a mascot in the shape of an Owl. The monkey introduced by English McConnell some years earlier had not brought much luck, though Wednesday now stressed that they hoped the gift of this mascot would not lead to them being known as the Owls instead of their real nom de plume of The Blades'! Somehow the club failed to get their wish, and a nickname was born; especially when the Owl was placed under the roof of the North stand in October, and Wednesday promptly won their next four games without conceding a goal!

No it’s not.

Can the Administrator sell tickets for next season without the guarantee that the Club will be sold and that the games will take place? That could leave folk who bought tickets as just another creditor. Front loading finances is one of the reasons why owd tuna ended up in the mess that he did, surely a professional administrator would not do that. Has anyone said what will happen to the Season Tickets bought on 3, 5 and 10yr deals that still have years to run?

NORWICH GAME - Let's get Norwich sold out now!
wisewoodowl replied to The_Ghost_Of_91's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I'm not sure about that, there were only about 6000 more attending yesterday than v Middlesboro. -

A great atmosphere in the ground yesterday which, maybe, drowned out the band. I didn't hear them and assumed that they were at The Etihad with England. If they were, on such a momentous day for SWFC, where does their loyalty lay? A few weeks ago they were doing their best to try and drown out any anti-chancer chants, is it finally time to say goodbye?
