  1. It’s a shame - his dad is a bit of a legend within British ice hockey circles.
  2. He’s definitely not a troll - Mike (with his older username) was a big poster many years ago.
  3. WFH also (marketing and tech stuff) Normally look at OT during my lunch break and then after work.
  4. I saw one - it looked awful!
  5. It’s a major problem in a social media-led world - people believe anything as the source of truth. It’s why I refuse to believe most things online unless.. 1) They come from a reputable source (ie BBC news/local press) 2) It’s not from a random on a social media website - I couldn’t care less if they’re “ITK” - people who know these things tend not to post them on social media for the sake of popularity/getting attention (it’s weird imo)
  6. I know exactly who Dave is Neil, but my point still stands. We have absolutely zero proof in any takeover except for someone on Twitter saying so. In terms of reputability, The Star, RS have more to offer and I’ll take their words over somebody who may not. I’m not even angry about it - just don’t get why you post this kinda stuff sometimes.
  7. Says who? The legit “itk” people don’t post stuff on twitter - absolutely no point in being ousted or losing your sources. Happily take a wrong take on this, but that’s not how this stuff works Neil.
  8. Exactly. People on here never seem to learn - don’t believe what anybody tells you on the internet, unless it’s a good source. Why would a Sunday league kit manufacturer know anything about a takeover of a club?
  9. Being ITK is a difficult one though. You have to be incredibly careful in what is said because if your source find out that you’ve leaked that Is confidential, you’ve lost your source of information and potentially ruin a friendship. At the same time, things can change drastically within the space of minutes - so what is told to you, may change on factors your source may not even be aware of. A lot of the true ITK people on this site have no reason to give away information (and rightly so) - because it’s not just worth it. Big respect for @thebizzle for choosing the o share this information.
  10. Didn’t know this.. has anybody else come out to say they were fake?
  11. So.. who are those four people? Alastair Wilson Chansiri Who are the other two?
  12. Might be a few later in the week perhaps
  13. GK: Petr Cech LB: Ashley Cole CB: John Terry CB: Sam Hutchinson RB: Liam Palmer LM: Fernando Forestieri CM: Frank Lampard CM: Barry Bannan RM: Ross Wallace ST: Didier Drogba ST: Nicolas Anelka (for those who don’t use Twitter)
  14. As per title. Happy to pay cash/transfer and collect also
  15. My employer is based there - keep meaning to visit a game. The area surrounding the stadium (Machsee) is beautiful and the festival is a good laugh.
  16. Sorry.. what’s the Michael Knighton reference here?
  17. It’s a difficult one - like others have said, the points system is about as fair as it gets without it getting overtly complex or being difficult to manage. Buying and selling of tickets will always happen and is impossible to police, especially as different clubs will have different policies. What I don’t think is particularly fair is a very small section of our fan base who only do away games and actively choose not to attend home games (was once told “because there’s no atmosphere and it’s crap”). Same goes with the U18 tickets - this also shouldn’t be allowed. I’d love (although it’s too difficult to implement across the EFL) to see a system where if your tickets were scanned at the gate, you’re able to claim points. That stops non-attendees from claiming points for purchasing tickets (and would make them think twice). I’ve also been a big believer in the club holding back a very small allocation for SWFC fans local to a particular away ground. Absolutely bonkers somebody from say Portsmouth, who lives away for whatever reason, isn’t able to get a ticket to Fratton Park through no fault of their own. That could be easily implemented by using their club account address and proof of address (eg council tax bill) and you could add more stipulations in there like time lived at by address. But yeah.. the system isn’t perfect, but will be immensely difficult to create a fairer alternative.
  18. Austrian version of The Sun. Not Alex/Joe/Rob credible, but more credible than anything seen on Twitter.
  19. Not at all. Having endless amounts of money enables you to make the club operationally efficient and work in ways that we cannot. I would also be very interested to see a club like Stoke’s financials, especially when it comes to sponsorships versus our own. Again I don’t disagree - I think they’re ridiculously overpriced and it’s a shame, especially in the current environment of higher prices versus stagnant wages (and in an economically depressed city like Sheffield, it’s even sadder). But again I ask you to look at revenue streams that are not match day ticket sales. Also consider the fact that we have had a transfer embargo and were unable to pay our tax bill. Not a criticism of yourself and I respect your efforts to raise the point that it’s too expensive for the average person/family. However comparing multiple clubs on ticket sales alone is only taking a one perspective of how clubs generate revenue. last post on this - any update @BIG D?
  20. I don’t get the point of posting other teams’ prices - each situation will be different depending on the club (taking into account club running costs, non-matchday revenue etc). It’s a bit disingenuous posting up prices of say, Stoke, who are funded by a billionaire and therefore the financial situation is completely different compared to SWFC. We know Chansiri is skint and lacks the finances of other clubs for us to spend. Like many others, I completely agree that prices are too high and fans are being fleeced in multiple areas (tickets and shirts being the big two). However fans should also be asking why we aren’t able to push on other revenue streams that can help reduce prices in the long-run.
