  1. Please DM me if you have a spare. If you have one I'll either transfer you the money or meet in person with cash
  2. Tricky Trev outside Birmingham Arena after a Rod Stewart concert in December 2022 - as we were leaving I heard a voice behind me say “Come on Wednesday” he’d seen my owls hat. Also, I went to school with Pressman (2 years below me when he took over from me in goal for our school team, William Levick in Dronfield)
  3. He did an amazing job keeping us up last season. We should always be indebted to him for that. This season was good in parts but also showed that he is still learning as a manager. Some odd decisions at times. Plus some of the stats don't make good reading. But then you can only work with what's before you and he was hampered by Chansiri. The alleged January fall out didn't do him favours either. Overall seems a nice guy. A really great first season for us. Lots to learn and you would imagine will go on to be an outstanding manager at the highest level. Legend? Not quite.
  4. On a similar theme.... "We are the owls and we follow our team all the way. Number one (only one?) team in Yorkshire. We're the famous Sheffield....WEDNESDAY" Is any of that right?
  5. Another fine example of your sarcasm or just being a bit odd?
  6. Alexander Pope lives on......
  7. Looks like a nerve has been touched...
  8. Maybe if you were working at the away end you could have just focussed on your job and not be engrossed in what’s happening in other stands? Just a thought
  9. Doesn't alter a single thing about what I posted. Where I was in the south it was about 50/50.
  10. Well said Lawrie’s Left Peg. Thank you.
  11. 50/50 where I was in the south. Certainly more than last time.
  12. Fabulous day out. Apart from boxing day this was probably my biggest game watching the owls. Mirocevic gave us some hope on that hot hot hot sunny day but it wasn't meant to be. Wednesday have given me a lifetime of wonderful memories.
  13. Many years ago I worked in advertising for the Sheffield Star and for a company who put ads together on billboards, buses and other spaces. Costs may not be too prohibitive if enough people clubbed together. The only potential issue might be whether the owners of the billboard sites would consent to take on the content of what might be put on the sites. From what I remember ads had to be truthful, fair and factual - so only the things that are known facts could be included. As we know Chansiri is notoriously thin skinned and whoever placed the ads would be in his firing line if there was anything on there that was even slightly wrong. Having said all that it is a great idea and would generate much more publicity as it would be picked up by social media.
  14. I got the same response from the efl too. Now going to follow sham67’s advice and reply both to efl and the CEO too.
  15. Nice opinion on what is a fact.
  16. Again you’ve explained your opinion which I don’t agree with. And, yes, you did throw out insults.
  17. *sigh* indeed. I’m sorry that my different opinion to your own made you revert to insults but if thats the way you’re wired then fill your boots mate
  18. Why be insulting? That’s not a reasonable response to someone who has a different take on things from you is it? This forum is divisive enough without insults being thrown around. I’m not silly, throwing my dummy out or confused. I just happen to have a different view to your own.
  19. That’s a big leap to make in terms of what you thought I was saying. Glad you’ve found other things to do on a Saturday and hope you enjoy them.
  20. If you think that’s what I’m saying then you’re wrong.
  21. I still go with my Dad to the match. He’s been going since 1948. He brought me to my first game in 1972. Like many others we’ve seen decades of disastrous chairmen, boards, managers, players and relegations.. We’ve seen Wednesday on the brink of extinction. Likewise we’ve also seen glorious cup runs, Wembley appearances, European nights under the lights, silverware and promotions. Not once in any of those years did we see that what we paid on the turnstile was voting for more or less of the same. Supporting the team is not meaningless. It’s a way of life.
