  1. Why does going to the match justify the fare but not to see family and friends? The taxi fare remains the same whatever the planned activity is? Plus if the match isn't involved then the meeting place can change.
  2. There are several more Southampton the only team to be relegated from the premier League last season Sheffield United the only team to lose the 24/25 championship play off final
  3. 2 players short might be the funniest thing I've read on here for a while. One less pint next week methinks
  4. 5 without reply is the headline
  5. Think there is more to it than that. All of these kids will have been profiled by scouts all the way through the academy/academies they've been at. They wont be coming on the off chance a youngster plays. They will have a specific brief following up on already identified talent and how they are performing in the senior game.
  6. They are bound by the rules of the competition which will cover what happens in the event the game is abandoned.
  7. He would rather pay someone to take away the working bulb.
  8. I can't fathom why anyone thinks that concrete wall surrounding a pitch is safe, in 2025. This is the 2nd such critical incident that I have heard about, the other being Alex Fletcher at Bath, occurring as a direct consequence in the last. I've also witnessed it at Bamber bridge a player colliding with the wall there and an Ambulance taking them away. Thankfully that player was okay. The FA ought to fund the removal of all concrete walls and replace them with composite fencing. I shudder when I turn up to a game at a ground that has it as you know it's always a possibility that you will end up with witnessing someone suffer a catastrophic injury.
  9. Been suggested a few times on here, including by myself, and there's little to no support for it. I think this only works and gets universal buy in if "the club" goes out of business/existence. Until then any phoenix club risks being an FC United of Manchester which at its core was a protest against Manchester United and this will only go so far whereas if swfc was no more and a new swfc was formed (a la Rangers) we would have resources waaaaay beyond anyone up to about league 2 and would likely fly up the leagues and regain our football league status within a decade.
  10. No. He has a criminal conviction in China apparently.
  11. Is this what ultimately lead to bury being expelled from the league?
  12. You must have never seen Jay Bothroyd play then...
  13. This is exactly what we are trying to stop... Perhaps folks that would have drank there could spend that money with them directly then they get more of the money and the money doesn't find it's way back to Chansiri. If the tap becomes commercially unviable then they will withdraw taking further funds out of the club.
