Think there is more to it than that. All of these kids will have been profiled by scouts all the way through the academy/academies they've been at. They wont be coming on the off chance a youngster plays. They will have a specific brief following up on already identified talent and how they are performing in the senior game.

I can't fathom why anyone thinks that concrete wall surrounding a pitch is safe, in 2025. I've also witnessed it at Bamber bridge a player colliding with the wall there and an Ambulance taking them away. Thankfully that player was okay. The FA ought to fund the removal of all concrete walls and replace them with composite fencing.
