  1. People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis, you can’t trust people!
  2. For me he's got too many of these types of mistakes in him for a relegation battle. I been given chances in the Championship, think he found his L1/L2 level.
  3. Everyone calling out for young sellable assets (if signed permanently), but all moaning he’s got mistakes in him as all young players have learning the trade. I welcome the signing of permanent, less so on loan but still solid.
  4. cough*vipbox.live*cough
  5. To an extent I agree with you and would rather have a more complete forward, but as France showed during the world cup you don’t need your target man to score goals if he brings others into play around him. Olivier Giroud didn’t have a shot on target in the whole tournament.
  6. The problem I keep seeing with Cam is his handling is suspect at times you just expect him to keep hold he fumbles it. He conceeded against Wigan because of it and he will keep dropping us points.
  7. Why can't i up-vote this a million times!
  8. Football 365 pretty much summed it up for me "This is a complaint that has been made many times on this site and beyond, but can we please do something about the England trumpeter? I’m even prepared to make my peace with the rest of the band staying put if we can just get rid of that infernal racket during England matches. At least the vuvuzela was a continuous drone that eventually became white noise. The BBC offer options for radio commentary, and you can obviously mute your television completely if necessary, but if they managed to isolate that squawking trumpet noise and offer me an option to listen to the match without it, I’d allow my licence fee to be immediately doubled."
  9. We are the only team who kept him for longer than one season; I somewhat wonder if that's because of our naive chairman.
  10. Linked to Man Utd and Barcelona this transfer window, might be a little out of our grasp.
  11. I must say that I am on the side of DC here regarding the unprecedented offer of a refund; if the reason you want a refund is because we are near a relegation fight then too right you should lose your privileges to discounted tickets in the future. The only own goal that has been made by DC in my eyes is no differentiation between fans who have a honest reason (lost job etc) or those who were just throwing their toys out of the pram because of a bad season.
  12. Could you imagen the sh*tstorm on here if we had a red away kit now!
  13. Don't know how to feel about this link... Could he do a job? http://www.examiner.co.uk/sport/football/news/championship-transfer-news-rumours-sheffield-11467987
  14. Looks like it's a yes from Melo! https://twitter.com/melosilva33 Filipe Melo Silva ‏@melosilva33 8m8 minutes ago You are a great man and coach. I hope very much we can work together. #swfc
  15. Easy plagiarise: Atdhe Nuhiu, he's bigger than me and you, he'll score a goal or two, Atdhe Nuhiu,Nuhiu!
  16. I guess officially Paul takes the managers shortlist of targets and negotiates from there. I don’t know if any of the players we have purchased Jones didn’t suggest as a option.
  17. I think the point raised about short term (1 season) contracts is very interesting. Only issue with this is that the club structure needs to support it. The club needs a director of football whom controls the clubs vision, in charge of player recruitment and development. Then employee a Guardiola type manager/coach on a season by season assessment. May mean you have manger stability for many years or if goals not achieved the club isn’t left with paying off the rest of the contract.
  18. Would love to watch us string 3 passes together without lumping it forward.
  19. Great interview with Benito Carbone, remember going to his first game as a lad, hope one day I can watch this calibre or player at hillsbough again. Carbone has happier memories of Sheffield Wednesday and Villa, even if it took a fall-out with current England coach Roy Hodgson to trigger his move to England. ‘When Hodgson took over at Inter Milan, he decided I should play wide on the right, instead of my true position as second striker,’ he said. ‘I wasn’t happy, but he said I could continue there or leave, because he would go out and sign Youri Djorkaeff to replace me. That was the choice, so I left. ‘Wednesday was fantastic. So much so, I stayed three years. I played for 17 clubs, and the last one, Pavia, was the only other where I stayed that long. ‘I sometimes look at pictures with my headband on and hair flying in the wind, and it brings back all the memories. It was magical playing alongside Paolo Di Canio. We were mates, and our families spent a lot of time together in Sheffield, but it was on the pitch where we really clicked. ‘We spoke the same language. Not just Italian, but in football terms. ‘We were on the same wavelength, and it was one of the best spells of my career.’ The only regret was the way it finished. ‘There were problems in the dressing room in my final season. It became two Italians on one side, and the English players on the other. It was partly my fault. I should have tried harder to mix with the others. ‘The problem was they would invite me for a pint, but I didn’t drink. I have always been teetotal, so I never joined them. That’s where I went wrong. I was only 24. I’m 40 now, older and wiser, and if I could rewind, I would go with them, order a coke and laugh at any stick about being a lightweight. ‘That way, we would have got on. It’s the English mentality to go for a pint, and I should have realised. ‘I never had any problem with the managers. Ron Atkinson was my favourite. He just wanted me and Paolo to go out and play. We loved that. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2258624/Benito-Carbone-interview-Former-Bradford-Aston-Villa-striker-looks-eventful-career-England.html#ixzz2HNyAu3UY
