  1. I'm staying in Burnley on the 29th, then Blackpool on the 30th, before heading to the game on Saturday. Hopefully we can leave with another 3 points. Heading back home to Kent after, to see the New Year in.
  2. The 1990-91 season is one season I'll always remember. I managed to go down to Ipswich for the opening day, and back then, you could pay on the day. I went to every home League game for the first half of the season, Charlton being the one where it stopped. We drew too many games at home for my liking. But the atmosphere was second to none. The Teddy bear throwing craze on the Kop, was brilliant. Strange home games especially Port Vale, especially as we had beaten Plymouth so well the previous weekend. Come backs against West Brom away, and Ipswich at home. Throwing 2 goal leads against Notts County and Wolves at home. But it was brilliant to be a Wednesday fan that season. I saw win at Chelsea in the semi final. I was dreading the game, as Chelsea had been our bogey team for years. Unfortunately I did not get a ticket for Wembley that season. I lived at Hendon at the time, so I went and soaked up the atmosphere, then went home to watch it on TV. Yes it was a good season.
  3. I remember watching us beat Manchester United at Old Trafford on 13th April 1986. We won with a Carl Shutt goal and a Mel Sterland penalty, after Chris Turner had brought him down. Can't find anything on youtube or anything else. Did not even feature on a Sheffield Wednesday Golden Goals video. Someone mentioned that there was a power cut in Sheffield that afternoon. I can't confirm or verify this. I was living in Worksop at the time.
  4. I hope someone can help me. I am looking for a ticket for Derby Away. It's a ground I have not yet been to. Hope someone can help. Dave Medway Owl
  5. I don't know if this is the right place. I am staying in Burnley on this date. I was wondering if any Owls fans live in the area, may be driving to this game. I have checked the train times, and I shall probably miss the last train to get back to Burnley. I am willing to share petrol costs. David.
  6. 30th October 1984. Milk Cup 3rd round home tie Versus Fulham. I stood on the Kop which was then £2.50 entry. As I have never lived in Sheffield or South Yorkshire for that matter, I was amazed then at what the bus fares were. A whole 10 pence!!!. It rained that night and we won 3-2. Goal scorers were Mike Lyons, Brian Marwood and Imre Varadi. Whilst Clifford Carr and Jeff Hopkins scored for Fulham. The Referee was George Courtney, who was hated by Owls Fans for sending Lee Chapman off against Derby. I remember going home to Worksop, and I could not find my match programme. One of the lads I was with said he would sell me one for 30 pence (They were 50 pence back then!) I said "Done", to which he replied "You certainly have been!!!". It was my programme!!. I certainly enjoyed that night.
  7. I spoke to the Ticket Office yesterday, and they have said 13th July.
