  1. The referee did a very good job yesterday in comparison to a lot we've had this season. Not perfect, but very good. Any male who thinks they are qualified to judge whether misogynistic or sexist chanting is worthy or not of arrest, banning orders, being thrown out of the ground is mistaken. You cannot judge the level of hate in speech until you are a victim of that speech. I'm white, male and 60 years old and it wee wees me off no end when another white, male, middle aged / old person sidles up to me and talks to me like I'm in their "club" just because I look a bit like them and they come out with something sexist, misogynistic, racist, homophobic, islamophobic, antisemitic, ableist, you name it. But I'm really encouraged by a few of the responses on this thread. Some great human beings!
  2. Cannot see beyond Marriott who we had on loan from Derby, he never made a positive contribution in any game and ended many an attack of ours by giving away silly fouls or kicking the ball out of play
  3. Sibon I know people will disagree with that, and I know why... ...but without the millstone of his wage bill our fall from the Premier League would not have been weighed down so badly
  4. Cor-bar-nu According to a Rumanian friend
  5. Asked a Romanian friend last night. Cor-bar-noo
  6. He's terrible. For the last few years all I have seen him do is try to earn free kicks by going to the ground every time a defender comes close
  7. Good stuff, thanks for posting this. I don't have any negative things to say, he's a lad who supports his team, said nothing negative about us and deserves recognition for his efforts. If by any chance he sees this, I would like more comments from him about in-game events: how deflating was the penalty save? Do the substitutions give him optimism? Any comments about the referee? etc
  8. I can't remember the game, and wasn't sure of the result until I read this. I do remember being disappointed by the result and finding out about HMS Sheffield from someone shouting the news from a car window. Ended up walking back home to Sheffield just because me and a mate felt like it.
  9. All the teams we have played against so far have lost the games they didn't play against us, including Charlton who are still on one point. We will need to keep improving to do anything in this league. On the pitch and in the stands... team needed more noise from the support against Fleetwood
  10. Don't forget the smelling salts...
  11. I remember the first time I saw Pressman in goal. I had become used to crosses into our box being bad news as Woods would spill it every single time: early in this game (I think against Southampton with Alan Shearer) they sent a high ball into a crowded box and Pressman plucked it out of the air. Massive sense of relief!
  12. Worst player we've had for years. Keep him away
  13. Yeah, we can't get enough red cards at a time like this
  14. John Pearson was very slow. Fastest... JJ?
