IMO I thought Madine played ok yesterday, and another 70mins under his belt which can only be a bonus! He put himself about well, and made some intelligent runs in which he was unlucky not to be found on a couple of occasions. He will give fouls away at times, due to him seeming to always jump with his arms up. COG did make the difference when he came on, but we seem to play into his feet rather than the head of Madine which seems to be a common out ball.

I have to agree the story in the star has been poorly written for the incident, to say its is a football attack when it clearly wasn't. I know half of the lads involved not through football or anything to do with Wednesday and there is definately 2 sides to every story as far i was aware the lads from leeds were exchanging verbals earlier on with a few of the group in a different carriage...which obviously sparked somthing.........I am no way condoning what they have done, as it most definately wasn't on and most definately deserved punishment. But for the papers and news to make this to be essentially a gang beating a few lads up seems a bit over the top, where no one has even being in hospital. IMO the sentences were very harsh though for what was essential a punch up (with not a single a decent punch thrown). Also if you look carefully at the video some of the people involved dont even throw a punch and probably just stood there to save face not to look a coward in front of there mates. One of the guys involved got 18 months for nothing just standing there, bear in mind he has no previous arrests or anything. Or two years for throwing just one punch. How can that be fair? When people get less for stamping on peoples heads or stabbing some one? Yes this may have been done to set an example to others so i hope it does! Again i must point out that i no way saying that i condone this, as i most definately don't!
