The Championship is bad, very bad in terms of quality, you could pick the best 11 player in the Championship and i reckon they'd comfortably finish bottom 3 of the Premier League. All the decent Championship players now sit on the bench at lower end Premier League teams if they're lucky.

I think this thread shows how bad our recruitment has been, we should have been able to sign the crop of league 1 and league 2 players and sold them on for profit. Instead we've watched dross year after year with no real quality players, if the best we can suggest is Bannan and Lee

Thought they'd be around 1/2 to beat us. Currently Evens which is proper value. As we tend to lose in style 3/1 for united -1 goal is also pretty decent. Please gamble responsibly.

Defence hasn't clicked for about 20 years, our passing is diabolical at times and these are players as you say with immense quality. But people blame our managers for their inability to pass. We're average mate, when you come to terms with that you'll never be disappointed watching England.

How many of those games were we convincing?, how many of those games did we look like world beaters?, how many good teams did we beat? Had real luck on route to those finals and still looked average at best. To make matters worse I don't think there's currently a great international team, so we've not even got anything great to beat. We're just so so overrated.

Tell me when England last played and you though that was a great performance, The players are not as good as you think they are. Couldn't care about rankings as I wouldn't back England to beat anyone in the top 40. If you think England merit the ranking they have your deluded mate

It's easier just to accept that the players that you think are amazing really are not. Comments saying we were poor against Hungary, Iceland and Greece maybe that's just about our level. As when we play anyone half decent...well we know what happens.

Anyone who was born around 1975 thought they were Hirst when playing footy at school. Absolute legend. Also had the pleasure of meeting him a few times and was told he actually wasn't really into football as a youth but because he was good at it was encouraged to continue playing.

I would imagine Spain, Italy, Germany for example have plenty more players of their nationality to pick from. We have a bad defence and the other English defenders that we don't pick are tripe. Foreign defenders in premier league are hardly setting the world on fire. This is why people seem to think we have a great attacking threat because of the poor defenders they come up against each week. Come up against a solid defensive unit and we look poor, very poor
