My son understands quite a lot of what's going on. He's 10 and has a good insight I've talked to him about not giving more money to Chansiri. Last year we had memberships, he was mascot and the last 3 4 years we've been to double figures in the amount of games each season.
Talked to him a few weeks ago about going to different grounds around the region instead. We came up with a bit of a list looking up on the map. First one we're planning is Rotherham v Port Vale and sit with the Port Vale fans if we can and cheer on Darren's team. Also have on the list Barnsley, Doncaster, Bradford, Huddersfield, Salford, Stockport, Lincoln, Grimsby, Harrogate etc
Though it's been hard this week when he's seen the new shirt is out. I've said before about not giving money to the club at the moment and he's been in agreement. But I encouraged him in March to save his birthday money so he could get the new shirt when it was released. He's seen its out and is asking me for us to go and get it. The principled part of me wants to insists to him he doesn't spend his money he's saved at the club at moment and again explain the reasons. The parent in me remembers what it was like to be 10 and wanting your teams new shirt as soon as possible.
