Is anyone able to post a clip of the Sky interviews with Owls fans before the Leicester game? Every one of those guys talked so much sense, and with so much dignity, that it almost brought a tear to my eye. None of them was demanding a billionaire owner and superstar signings; none of them was demanding Premier League or Champions League football; none of them was demanding a sparkly new stadium. No, all they were asking for was an owner who will serve the club (and its supporters and the wider community) in a respectful manner, and for an end to 10-and-a-half years of their being treated with contempt by Chansiri. I recognised some of the faces from the trust meetings but, honestly, hats off to all the contributors. You articulated exactly how I (and thousands of other people) feel, and it came across very powerfully on TV. Thank you. (Sorry if I’ve missed the interviews being shared/discussed in another thread. Please delete this one if so).

This is 100% true. Reading Owlstalk in the Chansiri era has really made me understand how daft a lot of people are, and so easily manipulated in elections etc and willing to back the person/group who is obviously making their life worse.

Bannan staying is a beautiful thing in itself, but I can’t help but worry it might ultimately be a negative: it could lend the continued Chansiri regime a shred of legitimacy and make some supporters (among a fan base that can be reluctant on this front) think twice about boycotting/protesting. That’s no comment on the OP, my old ticket agent! I love Bannan, but this is more important: we need to make sure the club exists/thrives long after he’s hung up his boots. Obviously, I hope I’m wrong and that the reason he’s signed a contract is because he can see an end to this turmoil on the horizon.

Wonderful occasion and cherished memories, but these weren’t the good old days. The Peterborough comeback, the Wembley win and the Great Escape only came about as a result of Chansiri’s incompetence. The club’s been a shambles built on sand since 2015 (and it was even when we were reaching the Championship playoffs). I’m not knocking anyone on here btw. I’m just gutted/angry about it all, like the rest of us.

What a sad end for two players who served us with distinction.

Best of luck, Bazmoan. I actually made the same mistake myself: I bought 4 x Sunderland tickets. I realised my error about 12 hours later, which, thankfully, was just in time to get a refund and buy Blades tickets. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there's a few more people in the same boat. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you get sorted.
