It's way too late for an argument, do I really have to spell it out to you?
People were saying that putting the prices down on a cold Tuesday night against poo poo opposition didn't make much difference to the attendance. The counter argument was - "let's see what happens if they do it on Saturday against poo poo opposition", they did and it has made a massive difference. Argument won, end of story, don't make me type any more I'm trying to watch Match of the Day!
