  1. To really make a statement and to test whether everyone really is prepared to do their bit there has to be a boycott of the Blades at home.
  2. This is a silly idea and looking around it seems it’s going to attract the response it deserves - no one will do it. If anything just a few going on will be even more embarrassing than not bothering. It’s the wrong tactic - Chansiri doesn’t give a F++k. He simply doesn’t care, isn’t bothered and will not be influenced by such stunts. It makes no difference to him in his pursuit of L1/2 football and a budget he can then afford. Keep the moral high ground starve him financially it’s the only thing that he understands. Arrests, personal bans, criminal records and adding pressure to an already under pressure team are not worth it. Starve him out!
  3. Does anyone seriously think a pitch invasion will make any difference at all. There are 3 entities that can end this shitshow - 1 A buyer prepared to pay more than the club is worth. 2. A regulatory body with teeth to stop this via administration or using new legislation. 3. Chansiri himself decides to bail. Can’t see 1 or 2 at present and 3 is definitely not going to happen. He doesn’t give a flying F about any protests (if he is even aware of them) thousands of miles away. Nevertheless, eventually this will become just another sad period of Wednesdays long history. It’s not worth a lifetime ban. Protest in other ways - the financial stranglehold will at least hit home.
  4. Nail meet Head. Our fanbase compared to our neighbours for example is very old and conservative. Look around where are the kids? 25 years and a whole generation of general shittiness to thank for it. I won’t be renewing after many years, I won’t even be attending regularly but I won’t be singing on a predetermined cue to a guy thousands of miles away who CLEARLY doesn’t give a flying F++K about any of the ‘protests’ and is determined to run the club down to a level commensurate with the squad - L1/2. If you want to buy scarves, sing or sit on your arse it’s all pretty irrelevant but if you want to do something STAY AWAY and DO NOT RENEW he can ignore it but his bank balance will get the message.
  5. It quite simply HAS to be a televised live game. It will clearly attract the most media attention and it has the added benefit for those that absolutely cannot miss a game that they can watch it on TV. Absolute no brainer. I’m at ST holder and I’m in. What about the United match? Do we really want to be there whilst they create their own Boxing Day Massacre score?
  6. I’m a ST holder - I’ve only been the once so far (not today). It’s a shitshow.
  7. I’ve just ordered the book
  8. If anyone wants a bit of a change from the ongoing shitshow have a listen. I know he’s been mentioned previously in relation to an attempt to fund and make a drama documentary film about him but if anyone wants an easy listen try this episode. Fred Spikesley - Massively successful player - one of Wednesday’s top ten highest scorer’s and England international but then topped that as a manager winning titles in Germany, Sweden, Mexico and the USA expounding skill and ball play in an era of regiment and effort. Fascinating personal life, escaped from internment in the Great War, involved in one of the first coaching films, appeared on stage with Charlie Chaplin. I can see why the film idea was considered interesting. https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-football-history-podcast/id1575355821?i=1000544233411
  9. It was me. I’ve directly messaged the Trust on a couple of occasions and have not received a reply of any sort. I still think it has merit but needs their authority rather than an individual so it won’t be just an Owlstalk poll.
  10. I’ve messaged the Trust in the hope that they will get involved. It would be so much stronger with their authority and backing.
  11. That’s a good idea. It’s no real surprise that lots of people are saying they won’t renew if he’s still here (me and my son included). Unfortunately a few comments on an Owlstalk thread don’t carry much weight. If there is a real strength of feeling towards non renewal this needs to be appropriately captured and gathered together in an authoritative message that even Chansiri can understand. He hasn’t got the money to keep going and he is definitely already planning for and relying on the cash influx in Dec/Jan (who knows he might start EB even earlier this time). I’ve messaged the Trust directly in the hope that they will lend their authority to a formal petition. It’s a very easy protest for all ST holders to take part in. In addition given the significant financial implications for his plans its one that potentially could even make Chansiri at least think about it. Trust are you willing to take this on?
  12. Exactly my point but it would carry more weight and authority coming from the trust rather than from an individual fan. Imagine the PR opportunity to publicise the message that he’s going to be starved of £5 million that he is absolutely relying on just to get him to the end of the season. Even Chansiri will understand the implications and it’s one simple way for ST holders to tell him to get stuffed. i won’t be renewing if he’s here - will you?
  13. Here’s an idea for a simple protest that won’t take much effort and if it goes as expected it would send a strong message to Chansiri. It’s now quite clear he’s going nowhere. There is no deal forthcoming and he’s going to continue degrading the club to a point where his budget will suffice (League 1 possibly 2). Is he even listening to the various protests taking place? I doubt it very much so something needs to be done to really grab his attention. Kick him in the wallet. He’s had the EFL loyalty injection and will expect to limp along until December/January when the EB season tickets will once again save him. How do we let him know that (I for one) and thousands more will not be supporting him with ST renewals? There could be an Owlstalk vote but that’s not everyone. How about an official online petition (via one of the free websites) asking whether fans will renew for 26/27? Imagine if 10,000 or more could let him know he will not be getting the cash influx he’s relying upon. That’s around £5 million and that’s a big number for his overstretched wallet. Even Chansiri would have to take notice. It would be the fanbase making it clear that we’re not giving him anything to keep going. The beauty of signing a petition is that (even for those diehards) it’s not legally binding - they can, and will do what they want but for now they could join the threat of no funding. I think this is a task for the Trust. It needs the authority of a fan organisation rather than an individual fan. Trust - Are you up for this?
  14. This is an excellent idea and one I’ll be keen to watch in the hope of finding some answers. Can I also suggest to the Trust (thought about trying myself but the Trust has much more clout). Why not set up an official online petition to gauge the strength of feeling amongst us ST holders for renewing again in Dec/Jan? For very little effort wouldn’t it be great to show Chansiri that thousands will not be renewing and that he cannot rely on that income if that’s what he’s planning in his deranged way of thinking. It would definitely grab his attention if he can see a massive drop in income coming his way. I would also have thought it would generate useful newsworthy content for local and perhaps even national media.
  15. 95% of the ‘noise’ on here is just fluff and conjecture. I don’t need to hear - what about this, I’ve thought of that, surely you could do this etc etc etc. I’m a ST holder and I would like to know what legal and realistic options I have in this unfolding shitshow. I repeat - Has anyone successfully got a refund? Does anyone have the expertise to advise on such matters? If so please speak up!
  16. All the speculation about do this do that, you could try this, you could try that is typical Owlstalk noise and fluff. HAS ANYONE been SUCCESSFUL in claiming a refund? Does ANYONE have the specific legal EXPERTISE to advise on this or other actions? If so speak up and help by explaining clearly what to do. Everyone else keep the noise down it’s not really helping.
  17. Well my idea to escape the chaos and wall to wall s++t worked well As you were carry on
  18. As above - Don’t use this thread until there is something concrete and tangible to report about a takeover. No supposition, no rumour, no gossip, no pretend ITK and no going off on a complete and utter wasteful tangent. Hopefully this will protect my sanity and save me and any others of a likemind having to trawl through the distracting BS that seems to be the norm now. I’ve had enough!
  19. He’s definitely in for us - he obviously can’t say it out loud - but White and Jordan obviously know (off mic). This guy is like chalk and cheese compared to Chansiri - he’s a PROPER businessman. Yes there’s some risk with that but I’m in if he’s after us.
  20. Best manager by far but wouldn’t have a pint with Danny. He’d be off when it was his round saying the pubs in the crawl were not what he signed up for and the beers are not good enough so he’s not staying in the round even tho his mates are.
  21. It was however Rohls responsibility to tell fans that despite being contracted until 2027 he intended to down tools and leave at the end of the season. My point is not about telling him what to do it’s that if he had decided to leave back in January then he should have been more honest and upfront. I for one would have been more supportive of him if he’d come and said that was his intention and gave reasons why. Instead we’ve been paralysed for months and blown what was a chance at the playoffs (Bristol City managed it FFS). Also who in their right mind wouldn’t make ST decisions based on the future prospects of their club. Losing one of the best managers in years would be a key issue for any reasonably informed adult making that decision unless you’re one of those that renews every year no matter what the situation. I deliberately let early bird go past last year until I knew we were staying up but more importantly Röhl was staying. Cost me more but was worth it to know the full situation before shelling out a lot of money.
  22. So you say ‘Röhl's told Chansiri he's off MONTHS ago, told the press and fans that this is what he was doing and has done so’. Well he didn’t tell the fans did he otherwise why did we renew on ST’s? I wouldn’t have done for a start. That would however explain why our form fell off a cliff after January and why he should have gone on gardening leave if he knew he was going way back then. It doesn’t reflect well on him does it? I put a ‘BUT’ after Chansiri’s shitshow because that’s exactly what DR’s behaviour deserves, especially when compared to all the other players, coaches and non football staff who are still involved. I’ll ask again why is he different? My query is why does his behaviour get a free pass from so many fans (regardless of whether they’re from Parson Cross or elsewhere). Like I said it’s completely up to him and he can do what he wants but then equally don’t criticise some of us to call him out on his behaviour. It’s not helpful to deflect by using Chansiri either (bit boring in fact) especially when trying to turn it into ‘he loves Chansiri’ argument so ignore any criticism of DR. Yes we all know Chansiri is the real villain here but not every member of staff has the options DR might have and did they give up months ago. DR has not helped the situation by his will he/wont he stay. In my view (yes it’s only my view) he hasn’t behaved as well as he could have done.
  23. I wouldn’t presume to tell DR what he should do, but is there any credible information to say that DR has not been paid? If he has been paid then why is he different to those players who are still turning up for work (fully or part paid). How is he different to Pedersen and Powell and anyone else who is still turning up? What about the unpaid non footballing staff who are still there. Yes it’s a complete and utter shitshow which is totally Chansiri’s fault but remember this is a squad of players that he has made clear he absolutely ‘loves’. Where’s the loyalty to them? Why is DR different to others? The circumstances are not of his making but the DR messiah blindness amongst some fans is misguided.
