To be fair to the club on this one, I think they do the best the can - it's a far better system than the one the other side of the city have where the points build up and build up indefinitely... Ultimately it depends what problem you're trying to solve - if the problem is people buying tickets then selling them to someone else, a system like the one Spurs have implemented this season where you have to provide an ID card along with the ticket is the way to sort it. If you want to give people who haven't been to away games before an opportunity to attend games, just hold back a portion of tickets for a ballot...

I agree - there is zero chance the tax payer would swallow the government covering the circa 2mil a month running costs of the club. With a budget of £10m, the best we can hope for when it comes to the football regulator is them forcing (and taking over the process of) a sale of the club, but that in itself I would imagine will be hugely complicated. A football regulator sounds great in principle, but the reality is different, particularly when this is a path which hasn't been trodden before - we just need to hope they want to build some credit up in the bank by going hard on Chansiri, otherwise I fear they will just become another quango...

Sounds good in theory, but hypothetically if the regulator were to take over, who then pays the player wages until a new owner is found?

Got to focus on trying to get some £££ for the out of contract players in the summer (if possible) - working on the basis there are 3 worse teams than us in the division we’ve really got to clear the decks in January / summer. Really struggling to see many players I think have a long term future at the club from the current crop...
