Unfortunately I reckon it's more option 2. He's salting the earth out of spite. An inverse of hanlons razor

Andy Giddings - Players possibly refusing to play.
ShaunO1 replied to SallyCinnamon's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Surely given that every set of accounts fir the last decade have, said that we are only a going concern due to Chansiri then there isn't much a of a investigation to be had once he stops paying the bills? -
The lowest points total in a 46-game second division season in English football is 24 points, achieved by Cambridge United in the 1983/84 season and West Bromwich Albion in 1985/86. Derby County also reached this total in the 1990/91 season. ... A record breaking season on the cards!

Worryingly this still doesn't feel like rock bottom though...

BREAKING : Windass and Smith LEAVE SWFC
ShaunO1 replied to Inspector Lestrade's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
While I know you are joking, you are also 1000% correct. Now isn't the time to protest.... 5 years ago when people weren't being paid, we were under embargos and talented youngster were walking away for free was the time to protest. -
Why wasn’t Danny backed in January?
ShaunO1 replied to alleycat's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Yeah fair point. I was thinking more of him clawing the majority of his investment back. But yeah you are right, especially as soon as the players weren't paid in April it was over -

He also claims that after the Hull playoff match he had offers for the club where he would've made a huge profit. If he had invested a couple of million (however he got his hands on the money) in January and got us into the playoffs he would be had a saleable asset. As it stands every is just waiting for him to go bankrupt. -
Peterborough will still be due compensation. Compensation is payable until the end of the season of the player’s 23rd birthday. So that would be this season. They will also know almost exactly how much they are due. I would imagine they would keep this figure from any potential suitors so they could eek out a more to anybody interested in him. Which is why stories like the above will be flying around. To tempt clubs into making a offer to get ahead of the game.

Wasn't he at one point strikers coach at Ipswich aswell?
-
It's happened again to Bobby Thomas

I look forward to watching them play Southampton on a Friday night the first game of next season. (they'll get to the Premier league before us imo)

No way the buy-out for Rohls contract is 2mill. Bruce was more than that half a decade ago

Protest planned - Luton Town - Sat 1st Feb
ShaunO1 replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Guaranteed that chancer will refuse to sign anyone on deadline day and will spin this as we had deals lined up but the fans ruined it -
I think they still go into the conference league. I remember Barry Town beating Porto about 20 years ago. Although I think they were they lost like 10 - 2 on aggregate.

ShaunO1 replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Yes mate totally agree with you. We need the structure in place to allow him to thrive and that includes everything that comes with it... D.O.F/sporting director/counting network/ coaching team. Work life ballance etc -
Röhl having to do 80 hour weeks

I'd be surprised if most managers in the champ arnt working 6 days a week with a 10 hour work day -
Ahh right excellent.

Out of interest, why Spurs? What's the link there?

11 October 2023 to 2 January 2024 Played - 15 W2 D4 L9 13.3 win percentage. Tbf it Mark Venus caretaker spell that really killed them. 1 point from 6 games. Ironically if they had reappointed Rooney as caretaker for them 6 games they would've stopped up with his record . Not acting decisively when Mowbray was taken ill was as bad a decision as sacking Eustace.

Personally I'd move Femewo and Ihiekwe and sign Helik from uddersfield. I'd be happy with them 3 competing for 2 spots with bambo and Palmer as back up/switch to a 3. Think there still might be a player in Delgardo once Danny gets to coach him. Definitely needs a left back. Harrison Burrows but I doubt we would pay. Cameron Brannagan I think could step up. Jamel Lowe would be a good option and would work well with Gassama and Mussaba I liked the look of Brandon Thomas-As ante when he came on for West Brom and thi k he would fit Rohls style He'll have to get his checkbook out for a striker though. Not sure he will.

If we re-signed them 2 I think potentially we could finally play 4 at the back again
