Hi mate. I was in college at Longley with Tom. Obviously, Wednesday was how we first got to talking. He was such a ******** top human, made hard times easier and constantly had me pissin’ myself. Fond memories razzing round in his pimped motor with stereo blasting after college. Although we never kept in touch after it we’d occasionally bump into each other at Hillsborough and exchange pleasantries. I was shocked and absolutely gutted when I heard the news. Reading this just puts into perspective how important the club is to our way of lives regardless of the performance in the pitch and without it I’ll have never got to talking with Tom and have the memories I do and laughter we shared. There’s an iconic pic of him leaning over stand and embracing players to celebrate a goal, that will always be burnt into my brain on remembering him. I just wanted to take the opportunity to pass on my condolences and sending all my love to you all.

Let’s hope not after the WANdisco / Cirata / EyUp controversy / scandal. Could do without future dodgy dealing behind the scenes. Time for growth.

Lb lagging behind a winger charging on his own with no one else to help him, obviously going to shoot after making up all that ground, rest of our defence behind or level with him. I'll never forget 06/07 season, penultimate game against Birmingham, win and we'd go into last game against Norwich (3-2) with a very very good shout of sneaking 6th. Lost 2-0 because Adamson couldn't charge down Larsson run all way from halfway line :( Our best league finish in god knows how many years. The days of brunt & whelan :(

Just watching the FA cup game between Oldham and Liverpool. Brad Jones, the guy is still as inconsistent and looks just as uncomfortable and unassured as he did for us as he does now for Liverpool. God knows how he's getting more regular games with them this season! BUT! He's not #1 for me, that pristigious title belongs to Chris Adamson... The name is enough to bring the memory of sleepless Friday nights with the thought of him guarding the kop end the next day.

Watched the season DVD the other night ( shockingly pieced together btw, I'd gladly do it for free and a better job next time ;D ) and forgot how important a role he played at the start of last season And based on twitter comments by the lads and from the Wednesday player videos, he puts a good bit of banter into that dressing room. But I don't think it's a case of us just throwing money at things now to hope they help us in the short term anymore like before, and you only have to look at the managers and chairmen in place when we did do that to understand why it ballsed up for us. Now we have a proven manager who is well know for his sustaining club structure such as developing cardiffs academy for 6 years and buying young players who they can use and sell now which is great, but now with Milan he can do that and build a solid forst team due him expressing his ambition to push us back into the prem and fanicial backing he has stated that he is going to give to DJ in recent weeks, he can now sign these talent young player for the future ( which if you read on here it seems he has started to in the past few days) and not only that but develop a really strong first team squad which he didn't have as much financial backing to do so at Cardiff (asides from chopra in 2009) all across the areas of the team. Rhodes at 2.5/3 mill might seem like a poo poo load yeah but when you think about how young he is and how much more he's going to learn, grow and develop with us it's so much better for him as a player working away at this level working towards the prem rather than just jumping straight there, and its like having a whole team position future proofed for 3 seasons giving more focus on other areas of the pitch like our MF. It is stupid money but in the long run I feel it's good for the club, cause we'd save more paying big for a good proven player than bitty at chancy players (LIKE VARNEY!!c'mon people) that could accumulate to be more expensive than buying one top player and wasting more money on other areas like I previously Said and increasing wages on players that we must keep like madine and others. Think about it can you imagine madine and Rhodes as a striking partnership! The strength and power of madine with the speed/agility and accuracy of rhodes! *homer drool* And you mention Everton and West Ham, when you look at stories in the media, fans in january were protesting at everton against kenwright to sell his shares so they could have someone who would inject more money for them to buy more players to compete with the top dogs. And havent West Ham got some form of debt still which they were fighting with when they were back in the premiership when avram grant was there which nearly sent them into admin? Also dont they also have financial constraints with them looking to move into the olymipic stadium, in that don't they have to put down x million amount down before it becomes there's so agin I wouldnt expect them to be making a load of million pound signings especially when they have 7 strikers already 3 of which are Carew c.cole and Nolan all with prem experience. Either way I think our financial situation is the same if not better than theirs and like I said in previous post it's time we made ourselves know, and we are here to compete!! We're not here to prance around in mid table of the championship for another X many seasons, we want to be back where we belong and we need to be able to compete for big name signings to get there!

FINALLY! Someone with a good shout! Freeman is exactly what we need, a fast, confidant, skill-full and creative short passing CM cause our attacking style is always spreading it to the wings and he'll offer that additional dynamic in CM which other clubs won't prepare for! I mean honnestly we've been promoted and DJ and milan expressed their along with all our desire to get straight into prem and half on here saying people like sodding varney! And HESKEY! Are you having a laugh, he can't even break into villa sqad that's injury ridden! You want to be stuck in championship! Need players with ambition!! Milan stated that he will back jones and you need to spend to progress, so it's time to put the money where the mouth is, you know what it's like in this day and age of football, need to move away from your 500,000K signings and look for the real talent, you get what you pay for at end of the day, and I'd rather pay out for players I know that would do a good job than buys like ranger that haven't shown enough and are inconsistent . I honnestly can't believe not one has given a shout for Jordan rhodes! We need make the point early tht we want to be looking for goals and pushing up the top! It might be steep but a 2.5mill bid for him would show we mean business, and moving to west ham or everton is a bad move for him completely jumping a division and not been gaurenteed 1st team football and hes no mug and hell know that, especially if he wants to maintain his Scottish caps. besides the foundations are perfect for him here with his dad been at our gaff and living in Sheffield. In my lifetime (I'm 21) I've never remembered been excited about any transfer window or the signings we've made and think that it's time that we made a MASSIVE statement that no longer are we a selling club , which is all I've ever felt we are, that this giant is back and here to stay, that we're looking to develop and build and that we're here to spend and push on if needed, sick of not being where we belong! What other 3rd div club in the world could pull in a 38000 final day attendance!? Honnestly! Proper joke! I love this club and want it to be once again recognised on a world scale who we are! Don't want to go on holiday anymore and get a spaniard or whatever drawing a blank when I mention im an owl but get more of a reaction to chuffing Fulham! Or Wigan!! Rant over!
