My favourite goal of all time.... even better when you factor in that the late Mr. Dobson completed his overhead kicks and trickery against the England defender Ron Flowers who was no mug..... turned him insde out. R.I.P. Colin.

Agreed... but if you could have Storey with McGuiness.... then that would surely be the dream pairing.

Sad news indeed... Used to go to school just around the corner from where he and Don Megson lived next door to each other. Passed his house every day and often had a chat with him and/or Don.... both of them always had time for us kids. Heroes to us of course, but true gents both of them. R.I.P. Peter.

1st Wednesday game you went to
lesbarbeux replied to MSN SYSOP's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
First away game was early '61... 7-2 v Man U... with my dad. Remember getting off the coach in Pond St. and some bloke asking who scored... dad said " Ellis got 3, should have had 33"...was always prone to exageration! First Home game that I remember was v A.S.Roma in the fairs cup. Remember them bringing out 13 players for the 2nd half and trying to start the game... kept moving about so ref had difficulty counting 'em. -
It used to be the rule that if there was a colour clash in the F.A. cup, both teams changed. That went out of the window some years ago. In '66 we played all our cup games in all white and if memory serves, we followed suit the following year too.

Last Wednesday Goal That Took The Net Off 🤔⚽️

Probably never see the likes of this again... -
Always used to do this and it was damned irritating. The excuse that it's R. Sheff just doesn't hold water. In this day and age it is easy to stay at the match on iFollow and leave 'going round the grounds' for R. Sheff. Indeed they started doing just this last season, for some unknown reason it's started again.

On the way to the stain for a derby game my mate and I bumped into him walking (YES! WALIKING) to the match. Walked with him from the bottom of Fitzwilliam Street to ground. How many players these days would give young kids that sort of time? We gave him some of our 'inside knowledge', saying that UTDs CH Joe Shaw was well known for passing back to the keeper (in those days it was almost shameful!). Of course it actually didn't have a bearing on the game, but if memory serves me right, he did score.

Wycombe want Derby relegated

On a personal level, it would make my life easier... my inlaws are Rams -
Pulis was up front in saying all along that we would struggle with the present squad until the January window when additions would help to balance it out. Given backing we would not have been in our current postion. Alas, that backing was not to be and here we are.

Hickton was a fullback surely.

Harris needs to play as an out and out winger.... he was effective in that role when he first arrived.

Michail Antonio Reminiscing

The memory of MA that springs to mind first with me is when he showboated in the S.E. corner v Wycombe... running round in circles...PMSL! Has anyone got the clip of that? I remember someone put it on a loop. -

DC is an educated and cultured man with integrity, it would have been totally inappropriate, not to say most unbusiness like to openly discuss sacking Jos at the forum. There could arguably have been legal issues if he had done. How would you have felt if your boss had discussed sacking you in similar circumstances?
