  1. Play well, miss chances, concede goals from woeful defending. Rinse, repeat. On to the next one.
  2. Penalty aside, his general contribution in games just doesn’t justify a start at the moment. Poor, perhaps closer to below average today. Smith must be fuming.
  3. We’ve got to find a way to get him in some kind of form. He was a passenger today, seems half a yard off it. Even when you aren’t a goal threat, you can still have a nuisance value and that’s not even there. Feel almost sorry for him as I don’t think it is through lack of effort. Smith came on and with his first touch brought the ball down, held off a a defender and won a throw in up the pitch allowing us to get higher up the pitch, which we simply didn’t have with Ugbo.
  4. Seemed well up for it. Kept trying to get the fans up. Seems to have surpassed Musaba at the moment.
  5. Won’t be renewing for the first time in about 25+ years, sadly. Whilst I still think Chansiri is taking the pee with prices and timings (although it should come as no surprise as it’s been the case for numerous years now), it’s the TV deal that’s done it for me. Managed to make yesterday, but the 12:30 kick offs have killed it for me. Think it was my 4th game yesterday. My lad plays football Saturday morning, so simply can’t make the logistics work to get back to Hillsborough in time. 3pm’s would be fine, in which case we’d be renewing. Think clubs may live to regret agreeing to this new TV deal, as I’d imagine there are others like me and attendances will likely suffer over time unless we can get to the Premier League. I’m fortunate enough that the cost isn’t prohibitive, but it will be for many. That being said, the thought of stumping up £60/£70 per game for a pay on the day is hardly appealing. Factor in the general faff of getting to and from Hillsborough and becomes difficult to justify for a family when it’s on TV most weeks. Longer term, you’ve then potentially lost another generation of fan, as much of being a fan that attends matches is that it is habitual and passed down from one generation to the next, or has certainly been the case for me over the years.
  6. Some cash, Charles and bring in Mark Robins
  7. My lad plays football Saturday mornings and all these early kick offs has done me right over. Right waste of money on 2 season tickets. Sadly, the new TV deal means I’ll not end up renewing as I can only make Saturday afternoon kick offs.
  8. Lower mid table and not being in a relegation dog fight. Despite the squad turnover, we can’t compete financially with other clubs, so barring a miracle, unless there’s a change of ownership that’s all we can hope for the foreseeable.
  9. We’re the football version of the council
  10. He was so thick that he could have got away, but made a balls up by walking backwards into the goal with no way out
  11. Best by far. Rather ironically, whilst most companies in recent times have gone through the process of modernising their logos by producing simplified versions of their brand logos, we’ve gone the other way.
  12. My lad plays for a Sunday league team who happen to be pretty good and as a result got invited up to Middlewood Road for a friendly game against their academy side a few weeks back. We've all heard people bemoan how bad the training ground is, but I was genuinely shocked to see it with my own eyes.
  13. This manager is somehow polishing one hell of a turd.
  14. Been coming but another Diaby mistake. Liability.
