  1. In 40yrs of watching the Owls i honestly can't think of another example of anything like what we're seeing with Ugbo right now. Yes, we've all seen our fair share of absolute dogger players in that time. Yes, we've signed enough players with big reputations/past glories who have turned out to be a busted flush/ here for a last payday. Yes, we've seen players with bags of early potential who, due to injury or just not progressing as hoped etc haven't ever fulfilled those early hopes. But with Ugbo we've all seen with our own eyes that he can time a run, he can produce a finish, he can bully a defender, he can get a shot off under pressure. We know he can do it. Or he could. But now he can't/ won't. Why? Granted, he's playing in a poor team (no disrespect to those around him who are trying their best but just not ready/ up to Champ standard) and that's likely to affect his goal ratio (pffft)/ chances per game, but if anything it should also make him stand out as one of the better players. In actuality, the opposite has happened. He stands out as being dire. For me, it can only be a mental health thing or a not giving a flying f*ck thing. If the former, I sympathise and he should be getting the help he needs. If the latter, I struggle to see how Bannan/Palmer haven't had him up against the changing room wall by the throat by now. Either way, he should be nowhere near their first team squad at the minute.
  2. Or as the natives say here in Hull, "errrdious turd" Which is equally accurate in this instance
  3. Great work as usual @BIG D When it comes to Kop selling out, do we know if this means literally every seat has sold, or were some restricted view tickets never put on sale? Does this change game to game? I'd have thought if they were deemed too poor to sell for one game that would apply to all, but not sure that's actually the case?
  4. Yep, same experience here. Lost count of the number of games where Guinness has run out altogether on Kop or we've given up queuing cos it's taken over 20mins and the game is kicking off.
  5. I was thinking exactly the same - except with a 12 or 18 month interest free card taken out over the summer, the OP wouldn't even need to pay any interest, assuming they could set up a monthly direct debit that was sufficient to cover the cost of the season ticket within said period. Seems an obvious solution? That being said, some great other suggestions by folk in this forum, some of which the club will hopefully adopt when new owners are settled in. My personal faves are the Saturday ST and/or 4 game voucher set up, as the reason preventing me and my daughter getting full STs (now tuna chops has gone) is the amount of stupid KO times that traveling distances and other life commitments stop us from getting to. Appreciate that's all down to feckin Sky and nowt the club or fans can really alter. WAWAW
  6. Bien sur! Halcyon days. Industrielle.
  7. Agree. I saw J Lowe miss 2 sitters, never saw Ugbo get himself in a position to take/ miss a chance
  8. I'll be doing this, even though my daughter thinks scarves aloft is 'cringe'. She's gonna have to learn to love it this season I'm afraid!
  9. It was last Thursday that they went on general sale mate. Like you say, hopefully an extra surge come payday
  10. Membership just bought. Will be getting a ticket on the kop as soon as that's processed and the discount starts to apply (I assumed that would be automated but seems not to be). Will pop into megastore for a couple of stocking fillers for my daughter. Can't wait to get back to Hillsborough after boycotting since end of last season. UTO
  11. I bumped into his wife at the weekend. Nice lass is Tess.
  12. Given the incredible work over recent months by the Trust, culminating in the organisation of a brilliant boycott tonight (massive well done to all who showed solidarity and stayed away) with the added bonus of a fantastic profile- raising projection on the Kop, I'm wondering if OT users who aren't already members might feel inclined to join, and/or those who are members might consider donating what they would have spent tonight on a pie/pint/ programme to Trust? It seems to me that anything we can do to collectively support the Trust going forward can only help to build solidarity among supporters and expediate the demise of DC. Worth a sticky, mods team? UTO WAWAW
  13. Was about to post the same myself. Just taking a moment to do the same with epton. Full weight bell racks the pair of em.
  14. Genuinely misread the title as This is Facesitting Think I need to have a break from the interweb...
  15. 50 sounds about right Boycotting til he's gone but would make an exception for 1 game if i thought there was a genuine prospect of an organised invasion
  16. Nice work - can you link me to a seller? Trying to use the DHGate site is making me feel very old! Cheers
  17. Have had a quick scroll through the thread and seeing plenty of chat from XL+ lads about sizing up, does the same apply to us racing snakes? Has anyone who normally wears medium ordered shirts they're happy with and if so did you stick to medium or go up 1 or 2 sizes? How is the printing holding up for folk so far? Looks class with name and number on the back but do they start to peel after a few washes? Links to any recommended sellers much appreciated. Cheers.
  18. Aren't HP part of Thai Union Group now? SCAB!!! (just kidding, obvs) (And you might be one of them weirdos that buys Daddies or own brand gunk anyway I guess)
