  1. Fair play to them - building a new football ground with links to the areas industrial heritage. I mean, they could have built another post modern B&Q football ground which every man and his dog moans at. People will deride the capacity but fair play to them - they'll offer out loads of cheap tickets and try and entice the city of birmingham back to the ground. The outskirts of Birmingham will be more problematic but i guess thats what investments are. More importantly, it'll bring much needed revenue and jobs to an area which needs it. But I'll also pee my pants if it goes ******** up.
  2. Absolutely no idea how they’ve qualified. They’re awful
  3. They're just not at the standard needed for Rangers. The demands here are totally different and those new additions are struggling to come to grips with that. Aasgaard does a fancy flick, puts his hair back into place and think that's his lot - he has been a total passenger. He looks every inch a lower championship/league one player. Röhl has gone back to basics and made us competitive, but we're a long way from challenging for the league this season unless we see some quality additions enter the building in January. As for how bad we are then in terms of our summer recruitment - Jefte & Ridvan are better than Meghoma - Dessers is better than Miovski - Igamane is better than Chermitti - Hagi is better than Aasgaard - Cerny is better than Antman - Balogun is better than Cornelius, Fernandez and Djiga - Tavernier is better than Aarons The summer window saw us regress in pretty much every position despite substantial amounts of investment. The levels of investment this season should have seen us win the league at a canter given how crap they are - but unfortunately, we've blown that.
  4. He can do nothing more at the moment 3 out of 3 in the league - two clean sheets away from home - which given the record before him is an achievement. Europe is a bit of meh but that's a reflection on Thelwell and his abysmal recruitment and not Röhl. He's also gone to great lengths to get the fans onside. He's respected the club traditions wearing a suit to games, he's helped set up the UB tifo in the ground and has helped ignite a bond between the club and the supporters. The protests will continue, but they're not in the slightest bit aimed at Röhl. So far, so good.
  5. “Death to the IDF” ”From the rivers to the sea” ”Allahu Akbar” and then fireworks launched at Villa supporters. Those pesky Israelis. Coming into Birmingham last night with their hooliganism and hatred. Oh.
  6. What a depressing day we're having in our second city. The surrounding areas of Witton have been filled with Palestine flags on lampposts (someone better not tell Gary Neville) and adorned with the usual anti Israel tripe. The local criminal Ahmed Yakoob is whipping up the hatred amongst communities urging everyone to attend his mega protest. This man is a poisonous **** who is a stain on our city. We've got schools having to close earlier than normal in the vicinity because of protests. And over 700 police officers drafted in from around the country to Police it. And here's me thinking it was the raving MTA hooligans that were the issue!
  7. We ran out of gas in the end - we needed to win before it went to extra time. I am chuffed with the second half showing because they dragged themselves back into it. I expected them to wilt tbh and Celtic to win at a canter. Our lack of a forward really does hamper us though - Chermiti missed two sitters in that first half and had we scored them it becomes a different contest. I am not going to even comment on the disgraceful refereeing outfit - nothing we’ve not come to expect though. As for Röhl - it’s a massive job and he has credit in the bank. There’s vast improvement to what we’ve seen previously but ultimately it all depends on Thelwell and his recruitment. And that’s where it will all fall apart.
  8. If Aasgaard is a red then Trusty should be off too Absolutely laughable
  9. Donation made. An incredible effort from every single one of you.
  10. The players really are embodying the effort, grit and determination of the fan base. They don’t have the quality but my god do they work hard and battle for each other. They got a massive round of applause from me as they approached the away end. That bond at the end was special to see - I’ve seen that, come home, and donated to the trust.
  11. I’ll get his tattoo if he beats them tomorrow
  12. You won't be able to afford the refund if its anything like the last few weeks
  13. It should have been in the summer. The fact Thelwell appointed Martin was bad enough but his continued justification of him despite it being as clear as day he was out of his depth was indefensible. It’s an appointment which has set us back years.
  14. I was buzzing with last night - Hibs had gone 16 unbeaten at home so for us to turn up and largely control it given everything this season was pleasing. Röhl looked like a proper Rangers manager last night out the of the Walter Smith text book. None of this obsession with philosophies and philosophical crap and this football hipster nonsense. Just win and win at all costs. Our football has been simplified, we look much harder to beat which is going to help cover our lack of forward options. The comments from the players have moved from anxiety to how much they want to fight. Stuff to work on, but it was a proper Rangers effort last night. It was a pretty crap penalty tbh but I think Butland has now saved something like 6 of his last 7 pens. He;s been excellent this year.
  15. I expect Hearts to have a difficult period because the current trajectory is unsustainable but this Hearts side is a far cry from the Aberdeen side that waved the white flag last year. McInnes is a much better manager than Thelin too.
