  1. No tbf you’re probably right - I mean we’re no longer selling out away ends now either.
  2. It’s 100% about effort - Palace have developed something at their place. The trusts and panels need to put energy into establishing this now the politics is over! New ground or a redeveloped Hillsborough needs to also maximise acoustics!
  3. Boycott Heroes - flooding back to the club to help yet we still have tickets available for the pig game!
  4. Happened again today - pretty sure our fans started the clapping it came from my right and I was in middle of our section. Afterwards it went into then silence - is this happening all over country or is it just our lot. note the ground followed with the clapping but it’s your obliged too
  5. Sign of modern Britain. Blew my head when the clapping started! Whoever started it started the chain reaction leading to the players joining in! Think the crowd got it eventually though
  6. plenty of and another section yet to be open !! Southampton away!
  7. Utah I quoted that figure - but you see I’ve not missed a game home and away other than official boycotts - and I was told during that time loads would have gone but … insert excuse! I never bought the coolaid some seemed to do during that period where it was just Chansiri ownership stopping them - I knew full well it was performance related! I’ve said on this forum before. The crowds under DC were very healthy (excluding this season) ! P.S. here’s another revelation - those who hate the points system now is the time to build them up as away games are hitting general sale more often than I recall - get those points in as league 1 is going to metal next season (though am an idiot who keeps seeing saftey this season )
  8. We averaged about 22k for mid week games last season - so if we get 27k there that’s a 22% increase on last year avwrage - last season where we had hope this season where we’re on -5 points - screams potential even if we don’t sell out!
  9. Played Norwich last season on the 5th November 22,731 there
  10. Once the politics calms down and new owners are installed and money raising to keep the club alcove calms down - any funds the supporters groups have should 100% go towards creating an atmosphere !!
  11. Best ones the old cracked screen ! Create havoc when scanning in. But right now the point system works - nearly all away tickets have got low enough to buy. I’ve mates who gradually built them up and now rarely miss out.
  12. Happens at euros and large tournaments - loads of problem at games for a fair few! Seen it fail at Wembley, Qatar, Portugal - and the places Needs to be linked to more than one mobile as people change mobiles! Never mind battery going dead. Away clubs would have to cover the cost of monitoring and helping 3pm / 5pm Saturday kick off when been on ale all day - trust me not pretty. Not everyone’s as a smart phone and more are opting out of them Your assumption that majority with maximum points don’t bother to go is way off the mark and insulating to lots. Best one is accounts get shared to get round the issue as those with most points maybe miss 1 or 2 at most all season.
  13. Let’s be clear for the majority it’s just a phase you go through - and the condemnation by some on here is a reflection of your age. There always exceptions of course! Young ones who don’t old ones who do ! The worse ones are those who once participated in by gone years who now criticise - now we’re all hypocrites don’t get me wrong but those who take moral high ground having done same in early 2000’s, 90’s,80’s & 70’s - shame
  14. Plenty of noise on the trains heading to Donny as well - mix of Wednesday and Newcastle back from Brighton - on whole decent natured. It is what it is!
  15. Multifaceted Heres one facet - those who “do not for the points” are those who drop lots to make any game!! Those who use this argument against that group/argument as selfish etc are those who don’t have the points on the first place. So are the ones who prioritise lots above that of making games. Motivations differ hugely between these two set of fans.
