Cheapest adult ticket will be £30. Ridiculous

But why no negotiation? Players are sold without release clauses being met so why should managers be different? In the middle of the season when close to the playoffs I get it, but we have a manager who wants out but our chairman thinks he knows best and wants to hold out for the full amount in the contract which he is probably not going to get and so we will end up with a manager who doesn't want to be here or on gardening leave. Just negotiate a lower price, get some money for him, hire a new manager asap and move on. Just because it worked with Bruce does not mean it will work now and many many times has not worked with players who have ended up leaving for nothing because there is no negotiation

Another one here, but there are very few of us. I only joined up because of the discount to season tickets thinking that I would get my money back in 20 years anyway even if not promoted the Premier with 5% off every season ticket, but this season I've not even bought a season ticket anyway after the prices were hiked up again. The book I have accepted that it probably won't be produced, and feel the e-mail last year was just an exercise to check who would respond

At the start the focus on QPR and Huddersfield at the start with the hope of catching Huddersfield. End up 8 points above Huddersfield, dont catch QPR. Birmingham end up on this thread at page 5 and Plymouth at bottom of page 14! Crazy league this year. And thanks Big D for doing it. Always enjoy looking at these threads

just made up wages. Swansea's wages £21m 22/23 season: Release of Club Accounts 2022/23 - Swansea City Supporters' Trust (swanstrust.co.uk) West Brom wages £45.9m 22/23 season: Albion publish 2022/23 accounts | West Bromwich Albion (wba.co.uk) Ipswich wages £19.8m 22/23 season: Ipswich Town: Accounts for 2022/2023 financial year revealed | East Anglian Daily Times (eadt.co.uk) Bizarrely ours are fairly accurate, just over £14m for last season, but if the list is supposed to be this year then would still think ours would be higher with wages increases due to promotion probably factored in

oh wait nooooo!!! If Hudds lose to Birmingham then it doesn't matter if Swansea beat Huddersfield too. So Millwall beat Swansea.... so we're down
-
Yes - have the same. Hudds and Birmingham play each other so going to be above one of them, but also because Swansea would have to lose to Huddersfield and Stoke for those teams to stay ahead of us and Millwall having to draw to Plymouth at best to keep Plymouth ahead of us, then Swansea v Millwall on the last day would mean we would go ahead of one of them. So win 4 out of 4 - we stay up!! (unless I've messed up somewhere)

The German Tony Pulis? Eh...
RockieOwl replied to TheEnchanter's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Their first goal was from a throw-in into the box. Very Pulis-esque if you ask me -
I'd forgotten about that. Amazing what you do and don't remember on your own as I remember it well now. Vividly remember Everton being the only team to win there one season. Might even be same season they won the cup. But apart from that Overmars scoring for arsenal is all i remember. Thought Liverpool won one too but their wins with Danny Murphy must have been just after the turn of the century

Thanks Whitechapel for sorting. Didn't think I'd have done so well. Was tempted to put Man Utd for the fa cup final with the assumption noone else would have picked that, but that's not what cost me top spot. I could only think of wenger, houllier, ardiles and gross as the foreign managers and was tempted by ardiles but thought gross was obscure enough. Not sure how scoring works but if I'd chosen any of the other three I'd probably have won?

Stoke v Plymouth on 20th April could be huge!

Leicester City v Owls Matchday Thread
RockieOwl replied to Holmowl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Used to be able to, but don't think you can anymore. Happy to be corrected -
This time last year Coventry were 14th, they were 7 points off the playoffs and had won 2 of their previous 11 games

I didn't renew. Not because of the price because I can afford it, but agree that prices aren't good. It's because Chansiri is running our club extremely poorly. Gibson has his detractors but he invests in the club, sells players when needed (just sold the player to Villa) meaning that they can then afford to buy good replacements and reinforcements, invests in the infrastructure, has been in the Premier League many times and even Europe, hasn't had point deductions, pays the players on time and is a lot closer to the Premier League than we are, so whilst I'd moan about those prices at Middlesbrough I'd be far more willing to renew in their positions than ours

Proud to be a Wednesdayiye today. I've not gone today cos I just couldnt be bothered. I'd have joined in with the leaflets if I'd gone but wasn't confident there wouldn't be loads showing them especially with stewards confiscating them but the amount of leaflets shows that enough is enough. Time to.go! Just sell up and go

Don't begrudge anyone buying a season ticket. It's a good day out with family and friends, but afraid I won't be renewing next season. Maybe if I lived closer to the ground I would be, maybe if my Mum went to more than half the games (and persuading wife or friends to go and spend over £20 on an upgrade from concession to adult ticket is getting harder), but the main reason is Chansiri. If he wasn't so bloody awful at running the football club then I'd renew in a heartbeat. I've had enough - not spending that much money on it again and I'm one of those "stupid" people who bought 1867 membership - and I still haven't got the bleeding book yet. My son turns 3 soon and I'd love to get him to catch the same bug I have but things really need to change if there is a chance of that happening

No football shirts or anything with Wednesday logo on? Got tickets through someone working for EFL and we're in section 102 and despite being in the Wednesday end, tickets say no club colours. So is a t-shirt or hat with the owls logo allowed?
-
I'd try ringing the ticket office and finding out about the disabled places as it sounds your Mum would qualify for that. Just keep rining or even go down there if you don't live too far away

Potential of a load of Bolton and Derby fans coming to South Yorkshire on the same day?
-
Granted not on Sky but the Newcastle match too which was on BBC

We did the double over Huddersfield in 16/17 - how did that end up? We lost at home and drew away to Brentford in 04/05 - won both legs in the playoffs, and then beat the team in the final that hammered us 3-0 the month before How we do against the other teams in the league is irrelevant. If anything, I hope we get Barnsley because I think the players will be more up for it given they did the double over us
