  1. Cheapest adult ticket will be £30. Ridiculous
  2. But why no negotiation? Players are sold without release clauses being met so why should managers be different? In the middle of the season when close to the playoffs I get it, but we have a manager who wants out but our chairman thinks he knows best and wants to hold out for the full amount in the contract which he is probably not going to get and so we will end up with a manager who doesn't want to be here or on gardening leave. Just negotiate a lower price, get some money for him, hire a new manager asap and move on. Just because it worked with Bruce does not mean it will work now and many many times has not worked with players who have ended up leaving for nothing because there is no negotiation
  3. If Chansiri and Röhl are not talking, who accepts this bid?
  4. Another one here, but there are very few of us. I only joined up because of the discount to season tickets thinking that I would get my money back in 20 years anyway even if not promoted the Premier with 5% off every season ticket, but this season I've not even bought a season ticket anyway after the prices were hiked up again. The book I have accepted that it probably won't be produced, and feel the e-mail last year was just an exercise to check who would respond
  5. At the start the focus on QPR and Huddersfield at the start with the hope of catching Huddersfield. End up 8 points above Huddersfield, dont catch QPR. Birmingham end up on this thread at page 5 and Plymouth at bottom of page 14! Crazy league this year. And thanks Big D for doing it. Always enjoy looking at these threads
  6. just made up wages. Swansea's wages £21m 22/23 season: Release of Club Accounts 2022/23 - Swansea City Supporters' Trust (swanstrust.co.uk) West Brom wages £45.9m 22/23 season: Albion publish 2022/23 accounts | West Bromwich Albion (wba.co.uk) Ipswich wages £19.8m 22/23 season: Ipswich Town: Accounts for 2022/2023 financial year revealed | East Anglian Daily Times (eadt.co.uk) Bizarrely ours are fairly accurate, just over £14m for last season, but if the list is supposed to be this year then would still think ours would be higher with wages increases due to promotion probably factored in
  7. oh wait nooooo!!! If Hudds lose to Birmingham then it doesn't matter if Swansea beat Huddersfield too. So Millwall beat Swansea.... so we're down
  8. Yes - have the same. Hudds and Birmingham play each other so going to be above one of them, but also because Swansea would have to lose to Huddersfield and Stoke for those teams to stay ahead of us and Millwall having to draw to Plymouth at best to keep Plymouth ahead of us, then Swansea v Millwall on the last day would mean we would go ahead of one of them. So win 4 out of 4 - we stay up!! (unless I've messed up somewhere)
  9. Their first goal was from a throw-in into the box. Very Pulis-esque if you ask me
  10. And now I've just googled it and realised I got lucky because it was probably a different team after all and Everton won a game in 92/93. Ha oops
  11. I'd forgotten about that. Amazing what you do and don't remember on your own as I remember it well now. Vividly remember Everton being the only team to win there one season. Might even be same season they won the cup. But apart from that Overmars scoring for arsenal is all i remember. Thought Liverpool won one too but their wins with Danny Murphy must have been just after the turn of the century
  12. Looking at the answers and I can't believe Briscoe played for us 50 times in the Prem!
  13. Would have been 6 then, no? Replacing the 5 with a 1?
  14. Thanks Whitechapel for sorting. Didn't think I'd have done so well. Was tempted to put Man Utd for the fa cup final with the assumption noone else would have picked that, but that's not what cost me top spot. I could only think of wenger, houllier, ardiles and gross as the foreign managers and was tempted by ardiles but thought gross was obscure enough. Not sure how scoring works but if I'd chosen any of the other three I'd probably have won?
  15. Stoke v Plymouth on 20th April could be huge!
