  1. Today was about nothing but local bragging rights. Our player stock, understandably, has never been lower and when a struggling utd team beats us that easily on our own turf then it puts it in context. I've accepted we're going down and as disappointed as I am today the bigger picture is looking bright. We will bounce back, we know it, they know it and their spell of having the upper hand will be over. TBF we lorded it over them for soooo long you can understand their giddiness in these games. They know the rebuild hasn't started yet and also know it spells the end for their temporary dominance. Normal service will be resumed soon and they know as much as we do we'll be putting em back in their place.
  2. Wilder is a blunt, he's gotta say / do what he's gotta say / do. Historically he has to be seen to be slagging us off, or at least making veiled comments or back handed compliments, but in this snip he at least acknowledges the massive sleeping giant at S6. He was measured and didn't go over the top but he knows football is cyclical, that the piggies are on a downturn and our trajectory is about to change. That must be a scary thought, cos deep down he knows how big we can be. Perhaps he's also trying to repair his reputation from acting like a chav towards Röhl. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1CoqgvPyDm/
  3. What a great package this is. It's fantastic to see fans being put at the forefront again. This is just the kind of thing that lifts the spirits after so many years of poor treatment by the previous regime.
  4. Well impressed, so many attributes. Skillful, quick, strong positional awareness, distribution, confident and utterly determined defensively. Looks a real prospect.
  5. With you on that, nights like tonight are about celebrating the club and everyone connected to it.
  6. Nicely put mate. Shankly knew what he was talking about.
  7. ...I’ll walk back into Hillsborough for the first time in two and a half years after a self-imposed absence in protest at Chansiri. Driving to work this morning I thought I'd put on a few Wednesday related tunes. Everything was fine until the first few bars of Waterfront came on… and I was gone, absolutely gone. I’d told myself it was just football. That I didn’t really miss it. Maybe it was self preservation, I dunno, but I was wrong. This club has a way of pulling you back, no matter how far you’ve drifted or how much time has gone by. Tonight, I’ll climb the steps onto the North Stand with my young 'un and see that spectacle once again. That light at the end of the tunnel just got a bit brighter and it finally feels like the start of getting this great club back on the right track. Enjoy tonight everyone. Wawaw. And just in case you want a listen...
  8. It was a trap. https://youtu.be/xU5mOT57ghM?si=mLBGEjSAQzeZHevq
  9. It's been 2 years, 5 months and 18 days since my last match. Was totally committed I wouldn't go until the despot went. Very much looking forward to doing what I can to support the club in person again. Starting next Wednesday against Norwich.
  10. Agree. If he acted with any integrity I'd have wished him well. Not now. Despise the man. I hope it costs him an absolute fortune and that he'll never be able to set foot in Sheffield again.
  11. Very sad news, condolences to his family. A man of true class and integrity. Will never forget what he did for this club. RIP Milan.
  12. I'm all for the 'black and gold' but it's sad reflection that we have to look like Hull city to make the point. Needs must I suppose.
  13. He's bordering callous now. No actual businessman would do what he's doing. Zero integrity and can't imagine he'll ever be seen in Sheffield again. I hope this ends up costing him an absolute fortune. He will not last forever and this club will thrive again one day.
  14. Best team won. Back to business now, getting the chump out of the club.
  15. Literally, what's the point in going at all if you're gonna do one at HT ? Might as well not bother and save yersen the trauma.
  16. I stopped watching at 0-2 Just haven't got the stomach for it. The footy is very much secondary now. Nothing else this season matters aside from seeing DC off the premises. It has to be the primary goal.
  17. What happened to the general POTG thread? Looks like it got pulled overnight
  18. Great to see them sloping off before pens were done and dusted. Gutless.
