  1. Much better for sure. Bannan needs a rest though and I think Abdi might start on Tuesday. I'd be tempted to rest Forestieri as well if Rhodes and Winnal are playing again, didn't track back nearly enough.
  2. I know ticket prices are a bit steep these days, but I'm surprised nobody thought of sticking a giant periscope on top of their car a bit earlier. Just have to figure out which way to point it now.
  3. Villa to Champions League in under 5 years is a joke. Who does he think they are.........Leicester?
  4. Sounds like just another crazy religious cult to me. Lure people in with a dose of free optimism and then.....wham! How do we know you're not going to hammer us all with suicidal pessimism when we lose the next game?
  5. 81: Much better from Wednesday, tidy footwork from Bannan sees him find Fletcher and his first time pass releases Hooper, but Green reacts instinctively.
  6. Attempt saved. Gary Hooper (Sheffield Wednesday) right footed shot from the centre of the box is saved in the bottom right corner. Assisted by Steven Fletcher.
  7. 66: CHANCE: Storming run down the right from Fletcher, who beats his man and his cut-back falls to strike partner Hooper, but he can only fire straight at Green, who saves with his feet.
  8. First half stats from ESPN - Wednesday 59% possession. Attempts on goal 9 - 7, on target 2-0, corners 2 - 2
  9. Sky Bet text commentary would not agree: 45: HALF TIME: Don't be fooled by the scoreline, this has been an entertaining opening 45 minutes, with both sides looking to counter. Leeds have grown into the game after a slow start, but Wednesday have come the closest striking the cross bar just before the break.
  10. Dunno. ESPN said Bannan booked but Sky said it was Sacko and then changed it to Cooper. Text commentary from ESPN and text commentary from Sky are like watching too completely different games.
  11. I wasn't really expecting it, thought/hoped we would have learned lessons from similar games last year. But as soon as they scored the first goal I had that sinking feeling.
  12. Don't think Forestieri will play against Burton but might well be back against Weeds.
  13. Deon Burton 1 Sheffield Wednesday 3 (Fletch, Hoops and Bannan)
  14. Not much of a sacrifice really. You should make it something more meaningful like Weasel P*ss
  15. Happy with a draw from this one 1-1 (Lee)
  16. I agree. Ultimately, the bigger clubs will rise to the top and in that I include Wednesday, Newcastle, Villa etc. Smaller clubs will not be able to sustain premier league places and when they eventually get relegated if they can't get back at the first attempt they will increasingly struggle. Look what happened at clubs like Portsmouth, Blackpool, Charlton, Bolton, Wigan etc. You can easily see clubs like Bournemouth, Hull etc going the same way in a few years. I think ultimately the Premier League want a closed shop, but they want that to include the likes of Wednesday, Newcastle and Villa, not smaller clubs like Bournemouth, Hull, Watford etc (with all due respect to them of course).
  17. Ahh....the 1980s. Used to see injuries like that at every game. Mind you that was amongst the fans not the players
  18. To be fair though, we could do with a few players who are only good against the poor teams in the league, give some of our better players a bit of a rest. We didn't do so well against most of the poor teams in the league last year did we. Certain kind of logic if you follow my reasoning.
  19. EXCLUSIVE: #SWFC plot double swap - Sougou and Helan for Derby County's Jeff Hendrick and Tom Ince. #starlive bit.ly/2bkxDHZ There, corrected it for them
