Linesman gave up on it. Was basically in the net and would have been a legal goal if Wright hadn't tapped it. I was just meh about it.
-
Fair enough, it was a poor decision but I get why it was given
-
Made no difference. Would have counted if Wright hadn't touched it. Only changed being 0-2 to 0-3. Getting hammered anyway. Bigger people to boo / protest
-
If they're so broken and beaten why are they so loud and vocal against a offside decision which a. Doesn't change anything - we're going to lose and lose badly. B. Would have gone on and wouldn't have been offside anyway if hadji hadn't tapped it in on the line. I get people are broken. But when they show passion like they did at HT they're not that beaten. Target it at the real opponent. I am not a season ticket holder so my protest is to not pay money or attend. Sorry.
-
No. I live in London. I am in Sheffield today but not paying a penny to the chairman. So would you like me to go shout "referee I believe that was offside" from Penistone road?
-
More passion showed against the referee by some (and only some) of the fans for allowing a goal to make it 0-3 rather than 0-2 than they showed all year.

0-0 vs Wycombe in the old D2. Live on sky for some reason. Absolute dross of a gamr
-
Beating Man Utd 3-1 in their treble season. Think there was something daft like only us, Arsenal, Middlesbrough and Spurs in the league Cup beat them that year.

I never had an issue with the penalty incident. In a shootout you want your most confident to stick their hands up (think Jack Hunt chewing away). If - for whatever reason - you're not feeling that confident then I'd rather it's said before hand rather than bricking it up to the spot and scuffing it. Im always picking the 5 who fancy it most. Regardless of position or skillset. The bigger issue was what happened to him to make him not be confident (given it happened at Hudds too I believe) as a £8m CF.

The commentators were desperate to defend him. The one he shanked wide from a yard was described as "that's not an easy chance"

Commentators "that's not an easy chance"? -
Let's be honest, they'll all be booing and steaming out at 0-3. So they've turned up - probably justified as "we've gotta back the kids" - and will give them a extra kicking for good measure.
-
Thing with Kobacki is it's exactly the type of signing we want/should be making. Young, potential. He gets better, helps team and gets resale at massive profit (if you have you know, a normal chairman) or he's no great expenditure and loss. He should never be one of a core 13 and having to play out of position every week. We don't have a choice at this point.

3rd Jan 2005: SWFC 4-0 Wrexham. I had a tenner on 4-0 and Steve McLean to score first. That was a good night. If Windass wasn't injured I'd do the same bet the other way today. Might get returns that buy a beer.
-
Its the ones trying to justify it under "the kids need our support" that gets me. You know, you just know, theyll be the ones slagging off and booing any mistake and walking out as Leeds walk through our team to notch up their 7th. If you're going to justify it with supporting the kids, then damn well support them to the hilt.

Ironic. Because I imagine anyone buying one from the megastore now will have a much rarer edition!

Also the release of the silver kit. Thought that was limited edition pre order a year ago only?

Big opportunity for the Trust - BOYCOTT LEEDS
Loppy replied to alanharper's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
its a easy slope isnt it? can't believe how short sighted people are. Just one cup game, its only a tenner. no harm. That attitude makes it more likely that actually, oh i fancy a pint, one wont do any harm, might as well have a pie while im here. And ill bring the young'un as well. that wont keep Chansiri going, his tickets just a tenner too. Whats that, you want a shirt and a programme? oh. ok. lets pop in the crumbling shop. Here you go Dejphon. heres my £72. Oh. i appear to have given DC £100 for a league cup second round game. But erm. boo. get out of my club. Sorry, whats that our kid? You want to come next week? Erm. -
Big opportunity for the Trust - BOYCOTT LEEDS

The whole argument on "we need to support the youngsters". In a best case scenario under Chansiri you're going to be watching the same bunch of them every game getting more exhausted, injured, and dropping down the leagues until Summer '27 when we can next pay to sign a player. (i said best case, lets be honest, that embargo will be added to, probably in 17 days time). i presume watching them lose each week to the Fleetwoods and Oldhams will not be accompanied by any form of booing, because were still supporting the youngsters. Theres an opportunity, it might be little in the grand scheme of things, but so is asking anyone not to buy a Yorkie from the concession stand. The players know we've got their backs. The fish rots from the head down, lets cut off the head. -
Sky feeling the need to clarify that we don't actually have that Bruno Fernandes sat on our bench.

Genuinely don't have an issue with Ashley. Yep, we have sports direct plastered all over the ground. But he'd be in for pure profit. Which he's only going to get establishing us a settled Pl team. The geordies wanted to move to the next step, which he was never going to pay for. I'm sure we'll feel the same if we have 5 seasons of 16th at Sports Direct Hillsborough. But I'd take that.

One problem - we'd need to pay macron first

100%. A fan is the second worst option*. Heart has a say in decisions. As much as we all think we could do better, only way forward (especially in the modern megabucks era) is genuinely successful independent businessmen. Profit follows success and vice versa. Smart enough to get football people in to do the work. Spend on what's needed. Sell the fan favourite if the money is value for money. *worst is obviously arrogant man-child spending their inherited 20Baht and so self obsessed they only believe they are ever correct.
