Yeah tend to agree with that. Stupid offer in the 1st place. Can't go back on it though so in that sense the conditions I think are fair enough if someone wants a refund just because of performances etc. But in terms of being more open in responding to presumably a lot of pressure he should just refer people to/remind them of the ts and cs.

I believe the mistake here was to offer refunds in the first place. There isn't a ticket I can think of where you can get a refund under normal circumstances...concerts, football, flights etc. If people have a financial reason/job reason to ask, those would surely be assessed on an individual basis, and if given, given without condition. For those that want a refund under this particular circumstance....I.e. we're crap at the moment, I want my money back, I would totally agree with the set conditions. As it's unfair for others who put up with the so called crap for people just to dip in and out of a season ticket when they like. That's 1 reason why POTG exists for those who wish to or have to for any reason pick and choose. However...none of this was necessary...he should have just said...read the t's and c's....NO refunds for lack of performance/results like any other ticket for any event. It's like asking for a refund on your holiday cos the sun didn't shine.

Brilliant post. Look at the bigger picture. The 1 offs can look asbsolute stinkers I totally agree but on average over a few games it starts to look more acceptable. Headline grabbers always take the best or worst of it! So in theory @Holmowl the same set of matches this season will be cheaper due to reduced kids prices. Even if some of the adult prices shift up a category should still be slightly cheaper overall.

I wouldn't like to pay more than about £25-£30 on average for on the gate. But wouldn't have an issue if I paid £40/£50 or more (upto £100ish e.g. for a final) for a 1 off that I really wanted to attend. But couldn't stomach that regularly. I was ready for the Arsenal game to be a cat A last season but it wasn't pleasingly.

I do get the point. I just don't see where you would see any price as being reasonable, now that I know it's potentially 1 adult + 3 kids I'm interested to know what would be a fair price to you. I don't think all things can ever be affordable to all people at all times. It just doesn't work like that. Not with football, theme parks, holidays, you name it. And to be fair, to pick and choose as you suggest i.e. "desirable" games only, a premium has to be expected or else it isn't fair on those that have season tickets and memberships who commit to pay all that money to watch the "undesirables" as well. And that's absolutely nothing against those that actually can't commit to season tickets etc due to money, work, or otherwise. There are opportunities for you to go as you say maybe the lower cat games, but if you don't want them then there isn't a lot to say further. All I can say is see what happens I am certain there will be more desirable games at the lower cats as there were last season. As I said...brighton, udders, boro, all were low cats last year. I'd expect a similar mix this season.

Tbh that would depend how many is in the family. Hence why I asked. ALL games were dearer for families last season. The price has reduced for kids simple as that whatever cat it is. The adult prices may not be to some people's liking but the kids prices are pretty decent now. Are you saying none of the cats are acceptable to you? Not even E, F, or G? If not you would struggle anywhere... If they are ok, then pick and choose and go to those when they come up. Many games were Cat D last season including some of the "bigger" ones e.g. vs Middlesbrough. It was Cat E vs Udders. Cat G vs Brighton. It goes on.

And how much would the same have been last year? It's cheaper than an equivalent cat B game last year. Maybe even cheaper than C depending on your kids to adult ratio? I don't have kids but would have no issue taking them on the kop. I was there myself as a kid. There are several families in and around where I sit from young kids to teenagers. If the price was for cat D (of which I think there'll be plenty) would that be acceptable? I think the decision of cat A for villa is wrong but I don't think anyone should think that rules them out for other games. There will be plenty of games at the reasonable end of the price structure. That's why there is a structure.

The prices for families are cheaper than last season. As I say a family with kids attending a Cat A game will actually pay less than they would've last year in a Cat B game.....potentially even less than a Cat C due to the kids prices being totally reworked to encourage the next gen!!

This is along the lines of what I was trying to say yesterday...I think, based on last season, most games will be cat C and below, more D and E than we might think...ok so A and B are steep but I think they will only be used in a very small number of games. And again I think the new kids prices are reaaonable if not brilliant value; A parent and 1 child on kop for cat A is £42 + £15/£10/£5 (U17/U11/U5). That is less than last years cat B nett total (£39 + £21/£17/£17). So the shift up in cat is offset if not better off for families. But I still think most games will be lower cats anyway.

There is no way people were bullied into spending £1200 plus on a 3 year season ticket. That is ludicrous. People who were lucky enough to be able to afford it and would probably buy a season ticket for each year anyway saw that it was the best deal available. The information available in advance stating that the lowest prices would be season tickets, members, etc was well known. The potg prices for some cats may be higher than desirable but it should not be a surprise.

I don't agree with the choice of category for villa no. I can sort of see why he's done it but don't agree. Not so fussed on the Leeds category, more 'realistic' to give that a top cat. If anything the cats are the wrong way around. Can only go on the balance of games last season. There WILL be games that fit into most people's budget in the sense that when the lower cats are used these are near to/at the prices most people seem to say are reasonable so at that point it's open to as many people as it will ever be. Don't agree with setting high to deter away fans...I'm not convinced that is what he intended to mean though...But I wasn't there. I see your point with the twix anaolgy. I still think the £50 COULD be good value if we are told the full benefits. It does have other benefits too though as well as discount its jusy this question over will £20 increase give circa £20 more in benefits? I think the problem from a business perspective is with swfc the attendance will never correlate directly with lower prices at least not in the Championship so I think with the range of prices (adults £20 - £49) DC is covering all bases (from the perfectly reasonable £20 for any game to the potentially obsecene if its burton on a cold tuesday or "ok" £49 if its a massive say semi final game) in terms of getting people in, getting money in and having flexibility to charge based on demand.

Regular reader but rare poster on here but feel the need to put a more positive side on the ticket prices as too many seem to be hysterically negative on here but it surely isn't as bad as the headlines grabbers would have you believe... The potg categories for adults and concessions are the SAME as last year....so with 2 years of warning that potg would be high and season tickets or membership are the best value way to get tickets why the big surprise again? We did all this negative crap last summer. Moreover kids under 17 are CHEAPER than 2015/16, depending on age/category significantly so! So for a family it's actually improved the chances of affording to go to a few games. I haven't noticed anyone point out this positive...not in this thread anyway. Plenty of options I think to suit most budgets. Nothing will please everyone but the broad range of options is not too bad IMO; 1. Get a season ticket 2. Share a season ticket 3. Get Membership** 4. Pick and choose a few 5. Go to the lowest cat games only 6. Don't go/listen to radio/watch sky (last resort/what some will do even if it was £15 a ticket as they just like a reight good moan). The categories in use mostly last season were D and E so average prices in the middle of the scale. Scaremongering about a few games at high categories means nothing over a season. Ok so it's still not low enough for everyone but you could say that about anything...Sky tv etc. **Membership price of £50 is difficult to gauge until the club say how many games get £10 off but the increase itself isn't a problem its not being sure what value you can get from it that is the issue. 67% increase is not a relevant statistic to bring up really. It's £20, the cost of a few beers, a takeaway etc. You can make anything sound awful or brilliant using certain stats. FWIW I like the new shirts, would rather go back to stripes proper in max of 2 years (after anniversary season) though. Don't like the price. Never liked the price of footy shirts but it is what it is. Worth remembering the price was at £40 (still high for a bit of polyester IMO) for a good 10 years with no increase...just a sharp jolt up in the last couple of years :S Final point is...no one likes change...of any kind...especially something they've been used to for years. Get used to it eventually and maybe even like it who knows why not give DC 2/3/4 years then judge properly?

Got my 3yr deal. Fairly sure if you email through your details before the deadline they will ring back, and even if it's after the deadline they ring back, they'll honour the prices as long as you emailed before. They rang me back earlier this week, and implied as much because I asked them since the phone system is crap what if people don't get through in time?! I'd been trying for several days myself! They do ring off a withheld number though so make sure you answer it!

What I meant was, where next, do we ban ALL items where something dangerous could potentially be hidden, e.g. coats etc? Not that that's what they're saying. I did read the statement and I do not intend to dramatize. So in your opinion clear plastic bottles would still be allowed through? I think officially in the full ground regs no bottles or containers are allowed (more for commercial reasons I would assume, think Sheffield Arena type rules) but I've always taken pop with me to Hillsborough rather than buy it. This is an absolute joke. Complete over reaction by the club and the league. I CAN see the good intention and meaning behind it, but it is complete overkill. i understand the need to protect the thousands inside the stadium, but just as others have intimated this is out of context,. How far do we go? Ban coats, jackets? Hats? Boots? I assume bottles of pop will also fall into the same category, despite them being see through. What would be wrong, just as with bag searches, for the same steward to request a look inside said flask, or bottle of pop, what difference does it make if it's a searched bag, or a checked flask?

I remember for certain it was supposed to happen regardless of the world cup, however we have had a change of owner since then and understandably we seem to have delayed it indefintely until a more suitable time. Would have been nice to hear answers from the club though. I realise its not the most important thing id rather see us right on the pitch but it does now look a bit of a silly false promise/plan.

Give him time, struggled half of pre season with injury so it will take time. And remember last season? Took him a good few matches to get into it but was he did he showed his quality. He will do a job for us. He cannot be written off at this level at such an early stage of the season and even in his career. When we played the pigs last week everyone samg goal machine and in general supported the whole team brilliantly no booing or getting on any players backs. That kind of support brought the best out of players like Madine and it did earlier in the season. Slating OUR players during the match helps no one but the opposition. Remember Madine is only 21 imagine how poo poo it must make you feel when your going through a rough patch but then youve got thousands of people calling you poo poo and a lazy illegitimate etc?! He looked decent against pigs not his best but worked hard had a few good touches. The lad had something earlier in the season and it was effing brilliant he cant have just lost it totally so get behind him and whoevers on the field because at this stage if the crowd really do get that extra 5 or 10% out of the team this is the time we need it. UTO WAWAW

Most of those missed games not through injury hes actually stayed fairly injury free for us until fairly recently, its just he tended to get dropped frequently due to loss of form, but id imagine now in league 1 hes a certain starter when fit. Always been 1 of our best players, I know he sometimes lacks end product but if he had it he'd have been a prem player.

Didnt see that either though I do sit on the kop. Even if he was going to have a little pop you can hardly blame him given some of the overly harsh criticism he's had! Yes it would have been unprofessional but he's young yet! And as for Buxton, immense, always gives his all and always reliable. Always rated him highly.

Nearly hit it over the bar? Jesus Christ what more do you want he got into a great position and scored, nearly hit it over the bar that doesnt even mean anything in this scenario. Just negative against Madine for no reason. It's obvious Madine is not blessed with pace but he certainly looked ok today and looked like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders when he scored. For the record I thought Clinton did very well today especially to setup that goal.

For the record I think most of the booing was for the ref at half time, doesnt help the booing started right at the whistle though. Its people booing after weve barely kicked off that really annoy me!!

Some "fans" need to get a grip. I rate Madine I think he can come good for us, was pleased with him today. Booing our players will NEVER help, especially not the younger ones! Whatever your opinion of certain players, they play for SWFC and as such deserve nothing but our full support. When we make Hillsborough the loud, positive, deafening place it can be the players generally respond and we do better for it. If you want to moan at any player 10 effing minutes into a match like some do, **** OFF dont waste your money stay at home and moan to yourself at the radio. Then maybe the rest of us can focus on enjoyong the game rather than getting pissed off at the saddos that boo theor own team from the off. Its almost like you come expecting us to be nothing but poo . Seriously whe bother coming? COME ON WEDNESDAY!!
