  1. Does it stand for Civil Service, and does that mean Starmer would be in charge? In which case I’m sticking with DC…
  2. Most league games they give away 2-3 thousand tickets. They aren’t allowed to do that for cup and playoff games. Hence the pitiful crowd. It also explains the embarrassing attendance against Cardiff in the FA Cup.
  3. Didn’t realise they were playing tonight and looks most blunt fans didn’t either. It seemed like there was no-one there. Amazing what happens when there’s no free tickets handed out.
  4. Had the grunters down for a win so I’d have taken a draw at kickoff, just scoring at the end is a bit of a downer. Still effectively 10 points from safety and that assumes Forest don’t get another point.
  5. Remember it well. Thousands of us on their Kop especially towards the “new” stand at as it was then called. The *** fans almost seemed past caring. They’d slumped from top of the table to well off the pace after the “Boxing Day massacre”. It really knocked their confidence and they were relegated to the old fourth division the next season. Glorious days!
  6. Everyone has to pay at a cup games. The unwashed therefore can’t issue 2k+ complementary tickets, hence the home crowd of 19k. Always take their home league crowds with a huge pinch of salt.
  7. Not sure why our match day receipts would be only £8m. We had receipts of over £15m in 19/20 which were curtailed by Covid. Plus we’re averaging more than then. Admittedly we’re charging less now but I doubt that would make that significant a difference. Unless I’m missing something…
  8. Exactly so. Factor in the freebies tickets they dished out for every match and our attendance will likely be 5k higher than theirs. Alternatively compare to 11/12 when we finished within a place of one another and again significantly higher attendance.
  9. I understood that the reason why they post near-capacity crowds every time is that they count all tickets issued: season tickets, the shed-loads of complementaries, as well as the juvenile tickets bought by adults. All are part of the attendance whether they rock up or not.
  10. 92 points has never failed to achieve automatic promotion since the EFL leagues moved to 3 points for a win and 46 games back in the 80s. Sunderland and the **** both got 90 points and finished in 3rd place. Both lost in the playoffs.
