While I totally agree we've ripped up way too much, way too fast. The reality "that not many of the Ipswich team would have got in our starting lineup at the time" sadly isn't incorrect, though. Just because our fans thought it, doesn't make it true. They're a team that scored 101 goals last season and despite the incredible defensive record we had last year, also conceded less goals than us, playing expansive football under an absolutely brilliant manager. They're also able to drop millions on the likes of Broadhead and Hirst which we simply can't do anymore. Yesterday, they were rumoured to be after Philogene from Villa for £5m. We're fighting off Wycome and QPR for Ikpeazu. It's apples and oranges.

Exactly this. Gyokeres cost Coventry less than £1m. Sold for £20m this summer. Gustav Hamer cost Coventry £1.5m. Sold for £15m this summer. You take enough players from Monaco, AC Milan, PSG etc. and one of them is going to click and rip up the league, right?

Do people honestly think Moore's just flippantly giving him unnecessary time with the 21's with the season on the line, and his own job also? Wake up. If he was fit enough to just slot in, he would. He's been out since November and it's not exactly a position you just slot back into. There's plenty to moan about, but this isn't it.

I think I'd be worrying about them if I was a Plymouth or Derby fan as I do think they've added depth in midfield and up-front. The stats show they're controlling games moreso than anyone else in the league but just not converting chances. Whether Hirst and Broadhead will change that remains to be seen. What I would say is, I'm not worried, I haven't at any point this season thought I'd swap our squad for anyone else's.

Think people forget he wasn't far off 1 in 2 last year with 17 goals in 39 games. Would be absolutely magic if he could rediscover some of that form for the run-in.
