  1. Remember going up there to see us play in a friendly, and being served a ‘Loyalist Burger’ in the concourse
  2. As a season ticket holder, I support the decision by the Trust to fully boycott the 'Boro game and, much as it stings, will not be going. But I would also like to hear something from the Trust regarding direct media-friendly action towards the EFL and the incoming Football Regulator. Basing protesting solely on home games is ok, but will only go so far, especially with an absentee owner. A mass demo outside the office of the new FR, with MP's in attendance, blue flares, megaphone, and tv, radio etc in attendance would surely be appropriate?
  3. Purely looking at numbers, and bearing in mind that nobody would want to see anything remotely resembling violent resistance, particularly towards stewards etc, I'd say you'd want a ratio of 10:1, fans:stewards/police. So if, hypothetically, there were 50 stewards on the 3 sides of the home stands, minimum 500. Plus, it would have to mostly originate in the Kop and North Stands, as I doubt anyone in the South is capable of going anywhere in a hurry.
  4. Scrubbers vs West Brom?
  5. Just checked online, showing as ‘Sold Out’.
  6. Anyone know when they’re back on sale again?
  7. Thanks for that. Very helpful. Do come again next week.
  8. Did it from Hunter’s Bar once, via Broomhill, Crookes & Walkley. Won’t be repeating that again!
  9. Wait until we're bottom and adrift in January, and Despot announces he's pleased with season ticket sales. Oh, and he's selling another couple of players...
  10. It would only take a few hundred to get a match abandoned. Then watch the EFL meltdown…
  11. Whilst I mostly agree with the gloomy prognosis, it’s worth bearing in mind our almost complete lack of a pre-season. An interview with Slot regarding Isak had him saying that Isaks lack of a pre-season had him 6 weeks behind the pace at the moment, and so he would have to be eased in gradually. Our entire squad is weeks behind where we should be conditioning-wise. Things will get a bit better, although probably not enough to keep us from going down.
  12. It would have to be carefully orchestrated. If a steward grabs anyone, then don’t resist etc.
  13. Is it time yet to consider the (hypothetical) option of last resort? "FA's refund policy (matches staged by the FA): If a match is postponed before kick-off, the ticket is valid for the rearranged playing of the match. If a match is abandoned after kick-off: Before the second half begins, the refund is 60% of the ticket's face value." Repeated occurences of matches having to be abandoned would result in: 1) Matches being played behind closed doors, and... 2) Refunds having to be given. Sure fire way, and possibly the only way, to bring The Chancer to his knees.
  14. Sing along with me... "The EFL, Is full of poo , The EFL is full of poo , It's full of poo , poo and more poo , The EFL is full of poo "
  15. There are those to whom the idea of not renewing a season ticket and attending matches is an absolute anathema. Any excuse will be rolled out, any suggestion of a match boycott will be bitterly opposed. "family time blah-blah" "had these seats for years blah-blah" "nobody tells me what to do, blah-blah" It's a sure sign that we still haven't reached rock bottom, because then, and only then, will the (not another) penny drop.
  16. Aarrggghhhhh….., meant The Park! sorry
  17. Does anyone know if it’s possible to use The Gate nowadays. Not been in over 20 years, but seem to remember some kind of a pass/ticket being necessary?
  18. This If we get some kind of a mega attractive home tie, it’s all going to get a bit snarky on here.
  19. The one that very nearly went straight in the net was a peach. Reminded me of the story about George… ”George Best used to score direct from corners, bending it wickedly into the top corner. I saw him do it for Northern Ireland against Albania. Bobby Robson once described this as a fluke. A week or two later, George's United met Bobby Robson's Ipswich. A corner was awarded. Best put it straight into the net and then wandered over towards the Ipswich bench to wave to Bobby. Fair play to Bobby who stood up and applauded!”
  20. As a point of principle, I’m not going to the Leeds game or spending any money in the ground. Truth is, however, that I don’t think the (hopefully huge) drop in spending on refreshments is going to have much effect on Chansiri. The problems he’s facing financially are much bigger than a bit of matchday revenue. There’s only two things which could force his hand; the imminent arrival of the Football Regulator, and a complete collapse in the sale of early bird season tickets. So rather than sniping away at each other over buying pies in the ground etc, I’d concentrate on the aforementioned. If people are queuing up to buy heinously overpriced season tickets for a League One campaign next season, then to be honest they deserve what’s coming their way, which is at best the worst season in living memory at the highest prices or, at worst, the extinction of Sheffield Wednesday.
  21. We’re on soon.
  22. (fond memories of Gail Porter...)
  23. Fantastic idea!
