A bunch of his Wednesday stuff is in the auction, including his FA Cup and League Cup runners-up medals and shirts: https://bidlive.grahambuddauctions.co.uk/auctions/9999/srgrah10083?term=Wednesday (also, randomly, a Pablo Bonvin shirt! )

Steve really was one of the good ones. Spoke to him loads over the years, not least when I worked at the club and he was keen to help us out with various things. Will never forget turning up on the concourse at Wembley against Hull and he ran over to give me a huge hug — complete with an inflatable around his waste and palm tree in hand(!). He quickly disappeared bouncing and singing with the awesome atmosphere in there. Pretty sure I have it on video somewhere. Condolences to all his friends and family.

What Is The Best Shape For A Wednesday Badge/Emblem ?
DeeJayOne replied to Kopparberg's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
That one was the 2000's PLC logo, for the business side of things. It was never really used in the football or merch side of things and was kept quite seperate. -
Totally forgot about Perfect Day! From memory it was originally audio done by Radio Sheffield and we just set it to footage/photos?

FIFA experimenting with new game system

I absolutely think that a 'sin bin' style suspension for a yellow is needed. Yellows have become more and more meaningless, especially in these days of multiple warnings from refs before pulling a card out. A yellow is basically saying "you're allowed to each cheat once and get away with it". I know people like to see someone "taking one for the team", but it is basically pure, cynical cheating. The other stuff on that list though... meh.- 81 replies

Reselling of Kit - Australian Owl - For Sale

As someone who sells clothes I couldn't agree more. Drives me mad that one manufacturer's M is another's XL, etc. Then the complexities of different ways to measure things in different countries or one manufacturer making their measurements from one place on the garment whilst another measures across a different place... ...and don't get me started on Women's dress sizes. The most meaningless numbers ever uttered. -
Fair point! Still... can't use Jules Rimet though...
-
The imagery of the Jules Rimet trophy is a trademark... and FIFA are notorious for enforcing. A drawn representation *could* maybe bypass it, but I don't want the hassle and costs in case. Three Lions is relevant standing on its own if you don't have specific references to the World Cup, as here.
-
Appreciate the thoughts. However: 1) Can't use an image of the Jules Rimet trophy. 2) Jules Rimet trophy isn't relevant to the Euros, so not necessarily current to the current situation. Might be able to do something similar for the World Cup in future. Of course, people's opinions on designs, especially for clothing, vary massively so not everything will be to everyone's personal tastes. Thankfully a few people are really enjoying this design as it is.

It's coming home....

I wouldn't mind the club's prices if the quality was decent. But for the most part you pay premium prices for poor quality stuff that has an incredible markup simply because it has the badge on it. A lot of premier league clubs have actually realised this over the last few years and have improved quality rather than being a theme-park style tat shop, like... dare I say... Wednesday's. Anyway. I purposefully don't compete with Wednesday (or United) and this one is about England anyway so the point is academic in this thread so I'll get off my soapbox now.

You're a legend! Glad you like the stuff. Thank you so much!

I'd genuinely never seen the USA Soccer Guy thing until now! His designs are crap anyway... Buy mine! The "Three Lines" thing has been a misheard lyric joke for decades now.
-
Nah... obviously different people have different sense of humour.
-
...its just an amusing play on words....

It's coming home, so grab a new T-Shirt... https://www.sheffieldguide.blog/shop/three-lines-on-a-shirt-england-t-shirt/

Would Wednesday be able to keep his registration though? Preventing him from playing for another team?

There's an old (and very true) saying/joke in football: "How do you become a Millionaire by owning a football team? ...start out as a Billionaire."
