It’s quite simple. If DC no longer has any funds to run the club (pay HMRC, pay wages, pay suppliers) he either: 1. Puts us into Admin 2. Accept a lowball bid for the club 3. Do neither and let the club die Options 1 & 3 immediately remove any ongoing costs of running the club. Out of those 2 options, you’d think that he’d take admin as he’ll get some kind of return. So why would he choose option 3? Only DC would know the answer to that. But I wouldn’t rule it out.

There’s a very real risk that we won’t have a manager, coaches, players, or the ability to host games at Hillsborough due to the lack of funds at DC’s disposal. Which will mean the EFL will be left with no option but to expel us from the league. That’s the harsh reality we’re facing here. Admin is almost inevitable, unless DC has a huge change of heart and gets on the phone to negotiate a sale. Which seems unlikely at this moment in time.

IMO he is looking for £75m+ for club and stadium. Then he'd somehow find money to keep the club ticking along while that sale completes. The other option is Admin, where he won't have to cover any of the outgoings and will still have the stadium.

But it sounds like he hasn't got the money to even pay running costs for the next month! So selling now isn't going to solve his problem as that process will take time.

So... if DC is struck off as a director by the EFL, does that mean the decision to put us into admin is taken out of his hands?

Problem is that he would still have to fund the club while the sale could go through. And he ain't got the money.

Nobody knows what the fizz is going on. Things seem to take a different turn every hour. But that’s what you get with DC.

If it’s true that Despot puts us in Admin, couldn’t Walton Penney still win out and be the new owners of the club? So Bizzle could still be correct?

But what if the buyer agreed to pay the running costs as part of the deal until completion. This is something that often happens isn't it? Or am I talking rubbish (not an expert at these things!)

So can (let's say Walton Penner,) not agree a price of just over £50M for the club and the ground, plus cover the outgoings whilst due diligence is being completed? DC gets his £50m and WP get the club for a decent price?

Yes it does. Helps retain club value. Can’t do that mid season!

No money spent on anything he doesn’t have to - new contracts for players and coaches, new kits… No statements from the club. No money left. it’s all pointing to one conclusion. Sale of club.

Costello is bang on. Think about it. Upgrades to pitch and training ground HAVE to be started now, no way to delay this. If he did, club would be worth less. He needs all the money he can get. Hence needs to make sure he finds the money to pay wages to again retain as much value as possible. Problem is, the struggle to raise these funds is seriously damaging this. Sale will be agreed shortly. He has no other option. Just depends on how much he’ll accept and how that deal is structured. But fast losing his ability to play hardball.

Not heard that anything has moved on in that regard. Just that their interest is real and fits in with what others who seem to be genuinely ITK had already said.

Heard a lot about Saudis today. Gone against what I’d heard previously. Not sure what to believe now. But knew things could change very quickly. Any clarity on who?
