As the title of the post suggests, we might be able to sign Aguerro, yes. As for Aguero, I'd guess push comes to shove, he might pick Barca, or Juve in front of us, only just though....
-
Surely this cannot be true? People would not "rate him", nor would they be clamoring for his inclusion if this was correct.

£9 million on Adam Reach and Almen Abdi. All the years we've had to scrape a few quid together to get loan players and cheap free signings. There has been a total disregard to our past worries. Absolute scandalous recruitment. We have never had money to spend, then when we do, we have the shambolic signings of these two. For this alone, Carlos needs to be held accountable. It's cruel how the money we have wasted could have been so useful to add some real quality to have a go this season

The lack of pace makes the way we keep the ball at the back even more ridiculous. Teams stretch the opposition from the back and then hit them with fast, high tempo attacks, using pacy runners to create spaces. We have none of this. All that happens is no gaps materialise, no one makes quick runs off the ball, so the team have no choice but to stick it long, or give it back to the keeper to hoof. On that note too, I don't think we've had a keeper so poor at kicking since the David Lucas days.

Season tickets- final phase on sale

Are these not available to purchase online? Still getting the "season tickets currently off sale" on the website -
Could season tickets reach 20000?
Glaser replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
When are season tickets back on sale ? My dad is wanting to purchase a new season ticket, but the website still says "season tickets currently off sale" -
Anyone any idea how much the prices will go up by on the 4th July. Wanting to renew our season tickets, but my dad is coming with us next season, so wanting 3 in a row so waiting until seats not renewed are released. Secondly, is it possible to purchase ours now, then move the 2 seats when the 4th July comes so we can all sit together as a 3?

In need of any ID, with postcode, for a purchase tomorrow if anyone can help. 100 or 50PP or a season ticket ID My dad has been to over half the home games this season, but I always purchase his ticket on my season ticket ID. Would love to help the old man out. Cheers

A terminator made out of hob-nob biscuits ?

On his second half showing, I think Joao could develop into a real quality player. FF and Joao as a partnership really does excite me.
-
Will make a massive difference this season with his ability from a dead ball. Those corners and free kicks were first class. Especially with CB's like Lees and Turner who don't mind sticking their head where it hurts !

Lavery to go out on loan, meaning Helan going to be left wing cover more than anything ... Pudil and Wiggins for LB Goodbye Claude ?

Mcgugan seemed a little more shackled tonight. A lot of the time he was within a few yards of the centre line of the pitch. He is more dangerous getting the ball further forward and dictating the play high up, where his shooting ability is made useful. I don't think I saw the midfield 3 communicate once with each other tonight. They all seemed to be playing as individuals which is not how we will develop as a team

and we wonder why there's a lack of positivity at S6 ?
Glaser replied to Glaser's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
If you actually assimilate what I said, you will clearly see I was talking of the future games at home and the future mind-sets of our players who are more capable at attempting the move high tariff passes than someone say Semedo for instance. We cannot allow a creative player to carry the notion that he will be roundly booed and heckled, if he tries a high risk pass. How can this help create a positive environment for such players. It will give them an easy out to play the simple ball instead. I never defended that performance tonight, nor blamed the fans, it was dross, but I also appreciate we cannot adopt a whole new ethos and playing structure over night ... we have to have patience.... we've waited long enough for a positive change. Finally, again re-read the post, I didn't claim fans shouldn't have an opinion, even if negative, of course they should, they pay a lot of money, but lets give these players a chance to perform and let's create an atmosphere inside Hillsborough which isn't counter productive ... -
It had surprised me how long it had lasted, but tonight, the usual Championship Manager 2003/04 football supremo's were out with their ludicrously short sighted booing. Lopez misplaced his first pass of the night, possibly in a Wednesday shirt and low and behold, a series of boo's rang out from uneducated, clearly professional footballers, who seem to have taken to watching rather than playing themselves .... How are we ever going to create a positive Hillsborough and a place where these kind of players can thrive and enjoy their football, if they daren't take the risk of attempting an ambitious pass, due to fore said heckling, if the pass doesn't find it's target. Would we rather these players became very cautious and unwilling to play with freedom ? Footballers are human, ours are playing in the Championship... the second division in England. They are going to make mistakes and mis-place passes, how do we feel that giving instant grief helps the player in question. It's no surprise technically gifted players fail at Hillsborough. Why would they risk that 20 yard diaganol and the wraith of the fans, when they can easily keep it and pass it 5 yard backwards, or inside Our ethos to home games needs to change dramtically if this slow, probing style is what we will be adopting

£100 for an under 17 is a brilliant offer ... All the top games to play at home in those matches as well ... Let's be positive about trying to bring in the young, future fans

"Manchester United are expected to announce record revenues on Wednesday of around £420m for last season with a £25m profit helped by sales of 2m replica shirts worldwide." That's the reason why ... Match day ticket prices are a drop in the ocean to them

All this talk of strikers... What's up with Joao as the man striker, backed up by Atty, with Bus, Stevie May and Lavery as other options if things don't work ? We are only going to be playing one striker through the middle, so I think we are heavy in that deparment. If one comes in, I can see either May (sold) or Lavery (loan) leave
-
Not really. We wouldn't be expecting a striker to start Saturday, straight from the off, just like Joao won't be starting vs Bristol. Would love to see May going back to Scotland and a player who has done it at this level replace him

Wiggins signs for 3 Years (OFFICIAL)
Glaser replied to OurDan's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
A lot of the Charlton fans on twitter have been voicing how gutted they are to see him leave, which bodes well. A lot are claiming he is possibly the best left back in the league IF he can stay injury free. Saying the injury broken last 2 years are why he's gone cheaper than what he's worth -
This was one definite observation from last night. The amount of 50/50 challenges we pulled out of was staggering, if not understandable. This mindset will be completely different in the first league match, but it lead to a lot of ball retention for Scunny. Lopez is lightweight at the best of times, so him neshing challenges made him look like a 6 year old girl in the centre of the park. It's a definite saving grace that this is a defense mechanism to avoid serious injury so close to the seasons kick off. Still lacking a nasty central midfielder IMO however

First 2 goals were both poor marking and positional awareness from both fullbacks. Yes, we could possibly argue the later was marginal offiside, but regardless, the defending needed to be much tighter either side of the defence Tonight showed the fragility of both full backs, and neither assisted greatly going forward. Palmer knocked one good ball in, whilst Helan proceeded to use a pitching wedge all match, aiming for some serious up and under action. In this system, our full backs are going to need to be solid and dependable as defensive tacticians first and foremost, this is something neither Helan, nor Palmer possess. We need to see either Sasso, or Hunt full back for the majority of Saturday, with hopefully Wiggins on the left I am not sure what at all Semedo offered today either. Completely passed him by Like that Lopez looks to come take the ball from the CB's however. That's good to see -
Stevie May has totally not delivered on his promise .... Squanders chances, works hard in the wrong areas, a move back North is his best option IMO Adthe ... a good alternative to have on the bench, but nowhere near good enough to be a championship striker Lavery ... still learning, still naive, pace alone is worth keeping onto for, rather than loan him out again Bus ... can't make my mind up on this fella. Seems to blow hot and cold, both in games and between. Not been, nor looked fit since we've had him to be fair however. We definitely need to freshen up the front 4. 2 quality strikers in, loan out Lavery, sell May
