  1. Stfu. They borrowed them to fix the stand roof.
  2. General consensus from rivals - they don't want us to go under but do want us playing in national league.
  3. Don't think anybody can summarise what that last call was.
  4. Thai Union Group were involved in a human trafficking and slavery scandal a few months after the purchase of Sheffield Wednesday. I can't say buying the club was a sports washing endeavour but seems suspect. To go with this I had an interesting conversation with someone connected to a dissenting ex-player. They said the player had been kept out of the squad for years owing to a disagreement, and offered to leave for free. They said DC refused, instead continuing to pay them, knowing they'll never play for the club again, effectively ending their professional career. I worry this is what DC is doing to the club. You can use the above to come to your own conclusions on what type of people Dejphon and the Chansiri family are.
  5. I can't decide whether he's a psychopath or sociopath. Any experts in here?
  6. Whilst painting them may be criminal damage... Rearranging them to form a new word would be a grey area.
  7. Unfortunately, money laundering is rife across the sport. It's widely known that a large amount of premier league wealth comes from untraceable sources. Football clubs are one of the best vehicles for money laundering. So can't see it changing any time soon.
  8. I once heard a story about a bloke who went to buy a car. Everything was going smoothly - they agreed a good price, along with a reasonable warranty. Then the day came to pick it up. The car was missing three wheels and its engine! The seller called him a bad customer. The end.
  9. Excellent. Turn the lights off when you get home lads.
  10. As has probably already been stated, its my opinion that he can't afford to sell. It's not that he doesn't want to. Judging by his actions, it's fair to conclude the state of play is as follows... He's financed up to the eyeballs, probably with personal guarantees and/or guarantees against his other shareholdings. Who knows where this money's come from but I expect sums owed now exceed his assets. The value of the club is significantly lower than the sums he owes. It must be so bad that even if a buyer does come along, he's probably unable to satisfy the shortfall. Which leaves us in catch 22. He's exhibiting all the signs of insolvency. And therefore his only option is to keep kicking the can down the road, to delay the now inevitable administration. Any interested parties will aready know that and will probably wait for this to happen. It's the only thing that makes sense to me.
  11. The Wednesday is ours The Wednesday is ours Bore off Chansiri The Wednesday is ours
  12. The fact he didn't look out of place and has only a handful of championship games to his name is enough for me. One for the future.
  13. To play devil's advocate... Leicester did alright out of it.
  14. Sadly, the only thing I can see working (barring bankruptcy forcing him out) is one of two things... 1. Fans stop turning up. Leaving him to enjoy watching HIS football club, alone. 2. We somehow muster up enough clout to shame him and his family name in the Thai media. Neither is likely.
  15. Guess we'll have to wait and see what Chansiri will charge for a midweek Feyenoord fixture.
  16. I took my son to Champions League game on Tuesday. It cost £56. This was the price for 2 tickets and train travel. We're being asked to pay up to £59 for a Cat A game (member's price). That doesn't include travel.
  17. Doesn't have OWL or FTB in reg. Can't be a fan.
  18. Alan Partridge?
  19. Hudders, Brum, Plymouth, and Blackburn are all playing top 7 teams on the last day. If we can pinch a win on Saturday, then it puts us in a great position to do the 'typical Wednesday' thing of chuffing it up on the last day.
  20. No, we can't be mathematically safe. (B in GCSE Maths).
  21. "Hire smart people and get out of their way."
  22. This, tbf.
  23. Injured. That is all.
