Yes. Non fulfillment of fixtures and getting thrown out of the league is a great idea...according to you and no f***** else.

This seems to pose more of a threat to Textor than Chansiri. It might turn the heat up on Chansiri, but we still need a viable buyer to come forward that lacks the sort of baggage that starts alarm bells ringing. I dont fully understand the Palace situation, but if Textor was part of the reason that they ended up in the Euro competition that nobody watches, the Authorities are hardly going to wave any bids through without dissecting them first.

IGNORE those who aren't boycotting SWFC

But how do you know, if you are one of those boycotting? You can't. -

How do you know who is and isnt boycotting? -
The EFL may be holding things up, but does anyone really think that Chansiri will suddenly start bringing in players on or near the £7k a week maximum anyway? If we are due for the drop, why not do it with a squad of young inexpensive players rather than experienced free agents on around £30k a month? We all know which option Chansiri will go for as he can then cover the wage bill from day to day income and prolong his tenure.

This is the answer - don't step foot in the place. As for the current trend of Season Ticket Holder bashing which seems to seep in to every thread, for years they have been the life blood of the club, pouring their money in up front, year after year. All the criticism of them now is coming from a bunch of sanctimonious grade A t00ls.

So the mid July takeover prediction of 1-2 months is now the end of September? What a load of rubbish.

Is this starting to play out nicely for Chansiri?

The OP is right, other than the ommission of the associated decrease in the market value of Chansiris asset. Unless Chansiri drops his price the club will never sell and the only direction we are heading is downward. -
Genuine question back - why dont you mind your own business? Everyone's situation is different from the parents with young families to the guy who has sat on his own in the same seat for Donkeys years. I get that it's better to choke off in ground revenue, but another divisive thread started by a moaner will make no difference.

Admin - please move this thread to the F****** Boring section please. I personally wish Josh well, but who cares how he does for Wrexham in any game other than against us?

ITK Lolz - let's have real reporting

It was the Bizzle that dropped all that rubbish about the Walton Family. His initial post was so threadbare & detatched from how a multibillion dollar organisation would conduct their business that it would have been laughable, if it hadn't given false hope to so many fans. Hang on every word if it makes you feel better, but I can spot someone that talks out of their backside when I hear or read it. -
There'll be a load of sackings in November/December- his hat will be in the ring for some decent jobs around Europe I'm sure. He's yesterdays news as far as I'm concerned though, so dont really care where he ends up.

We can offer guarantees of a certain amount of first team action - other more competitive teams won't do this.

Some pathetic posts from the usual losers on this topic. The Leicester fans reacted in solidarity with ours during the late entry protest, then got back to supporting their team. Exactly as it should be - thanks for showing empathy.

Why are there still Wednesdayites supporting DC?

There's a difference between Twitter and forums like Owlstalk. On here the vast majority are fans, albeit with widely differing views on some topics. Twitter is full of sh.1.t stirrers who have no interest in Wednesday, but instead hide behind anonymity to present the appearance of, for example, Chansiri being able to do no wrong. The vast majority are probably pig fans - being able to make the distinction isnt difficult . -
The EFL, too little, too late.

Out of interest, what steps did he suggest that were within the remit of the EFLs current rules? -
That's it mate. Don't miss an opportunity to have a dig at your fellow fans, despite this being all about Chansiris buffoonery.

I wish all the players that leave all the best, but I'm not that bothered about a running commentary on their progress at their new club. There really is far more important stuff going on as far as I'm concerned, so goal alerts for other teams players just clog up the forum with unimportant threads.

Yes I think he would...at his age with a family settled in Sheffield & a fan base that thinks hes the dogs, he clearly wanted to stay. I reckon that he'd also be front & centre when asking questions about Danny's commitment to the cause at whatever clear the air talks took place.

Let's make the biggest crowd at Hillsborough this season the one for his testimonial match, if such things still exist. First bit of good news for a long while.

I'll wait thanks

A rehash of recent events, but clearly the story is now much bigger than it was a week ago. The EFL is increasingly concerned that Sheffield Wednesday’s opening fixture of the new Sky Bet Championship season is under threat after the club’s players forced the cancellation of a friendly with Burnley this weekend. The squad were told on Wednesday that their wages would not be paid on time, reportedly for the third successive month, and that has led to the players taking a stand. It is understood that the EFL has become increasingly alarmed by developments and remains in close contact with club officials. The friendly against Burnley was due to take place behind closed doors on Saturday and was the club’s final pre-season fixture before the start of the new campaign. Wednesday are due to travel to Leicester City for their first league match on Sunday, August 10. There remains significant concern among the players about the payment of their wages, and the decision not to play this weekend appears to be motivated as much by practical considerations as by protest. The players would be risking injury at a time when they are not being paid, and thus may be considering the termination of their contracts. That path was taken by Josh Windass and Michael Smith in July, who ended their contracts by mutual consent and signed new deals elsewhere. The PFA is understood to be supporting the players. The scrapped friendly is the latest development after another tumultuous week for Wednesday. On Tuesday Sheffield city council issued a prohibition notice to the club, preventing them from hosting spectators in the North Stand at Hillsborough, which can hold up to 9,255 supporters. Councillor Joe Otten said the decision was taken after consulting “engineering specialists who can no longer reconfirm that the North Stand is safe for spectator use”. The head coach Danny Röhl also left the club by mutual consent on Tuesday, two weeks before the start of the new season. That followed the departures of multiple players, including the forwards Windass and Smith, who ended their contracts by mutual consent in mid-July, leaving only a small selection of senior players. This is compounded by the fact that the club are under an EFL registration embargo at present owing to unpaid transfer fees, having previously been put under embargo for unpaid player wages and delayed payments to HMRC. Wednesday are owned by the Thai businessman Dejphon Chansiri, who is blamed by supporters and local politicians for the club’s plight. Clive Betts, the Labour MP for Sheffield South East, told the city’s newspaper, The Star, this week after the closure of the North Stand that the owner should sell. “This is just the most recent issue in a host of problems he has brought and failed to recognise and address,” Betts said. “Chansiri clearly has no idea what he is doing with the club and should just move on and sell to an owner that will actually care about the club and its fans.” Röhl has since been replaced by his assistant, Henrik Pedersen, whose appointment was confirmed on Thursday. Wednesday have been approached for comment.
