Saw him in the Bolton game and he really stood out and he was equally impressive in the other cup ties and quite rightly got a berth in the matchday squad and hes slotted in really well. Hes still learning but he looks confident and mature enough to progress, fantastic attitude, hopefully....he doesnt slip through our fingers due to all the thats going on right now, A great shame young Sequirra? got injured because I thought he was equally impressive as well.

Every player played their part tonight, despite all thats going on in the background, we pushed free spending brum to the wire, very unlucky not to bag all the points. -

He could sling a decent cross in and plant an effective long ball and score the occasiuonal long range belter, but he typifies the daftjohn approach to football ownership, cost 5M and left for nowt. It was rumoured at one point that Wolves were willing to pay upto 10M for him, pure guesswork on my part but Il wager DJ wanted at least 10X his value and the Wolves interest cooled somewhat -
What's your thoughts on Dave's opinion here?

The game has changed so much over the 60 odd years of watching for me, I used to eat sleep dream and breathe football growing up, but not so these days, I still watch and enjoy mostly the lower division stuff, but the prem, european and international football I just find dead boring to watch, its more of an F! style procession of the minted teams these days, and the power seems to be held and dictated by the handful of these wealthier clubs. -
West stand was built after the north, mid 60s.

Probably time to boycott a league game...

We need to get serious, were in a dogfight to save this football club and its a fight we have got to win, if DC plods on, wel end up with more embargoes and further point deductions and heaven knows where the club will end up in the seasons ahead. Id love for every single supporter to join in such a boycott, but I can accept a few cant or wont, but we need to send out a strong message to the owner. -

Boycotting the pigs game sends out a clear message that weve all had enough IMO -
Only around a handful of those playing today were guaranteed 1st team regulars last season, the rest played from the bench or were bit part players.

McCalliog scoring at the leppings lane end and celebrating with his new admirers, felt like a dagger to the heart. -

Because the elephants told DC its lucky to pay the highest prices -
Thanks for link Malek, only saw 2nd half, the last two goals at the death were a choker, that apart I thought they did ok but didnt work their keeper enough.

We dont know for definate hes not sold anyone yet and may not know while tomorrow.

Hes no world beater but he made some decent stops today that kept the tally down, having Iorfa and Lowe as his two main CBs is far from ideal but theres little we can do. He did get done on his near post, you can see from his body shape hes expecting a shot across him.

Quite easily the most disinterested Ive ever been during a football season in my 60 odd years of watching the game. Normally I check all the player moves across all the divisions so im clued up as to whose gone where, check the new kits, check Fridays for team news, travel plans for away games, alas none of that this season, although I tuned into watch the 2nd half of Salford v Cheltenham and see Kadeem Harris equalise late on, normally Id have watched the whole game. Ive watched all our games online upto now more in hope than expectation.

Personally, I just think the guys a gambler, who was looking to make a name for himself with a huge payout from selling us once we got in the prem and make a huge profit on his investment and hid his intentions behind a smokescreen of buying the club for his son, which gave the illusion he was here for the long term and convinced the fanbase to buy into his scheme via the price hikes he needed to make to help fund his ambitions. Unfortunately his attempts to cover up his poor accountancy skills became his undoing and hes found himself being here longer than he intended and accrued more debt than he can afford, hes been looking for an investor for sometime as he looks to recoup as much of his losses as he possibly can to try to save face.
-
Maybe the case, he could well have given assurances for loans taken out to run the club, how were we funded during the pandemic when there was hardly any fan income? Reckon hes looking more for an investor than to sell so he can piggy back success from a more clued up source and stand a better chance of recouping a larger chunk of his losses.

No brainer we need to stay up. Any points deduction will most likely come next season and I really fear, with all the restrictions on recruiting players still in place that next season will be tougher than this and 4th tier football is where were heading unless someone can convince daftjon to sell.
