That one statistic , is the reason Chansiri gave him the job. That and the fact he was cheap. However that oft quoted statistic is misleadingly optimistic. He was appointed just before Christmas and the team he adopted cruised to promotion. The team mascot could have led the team to promotion.
After his sacking some 3 months into the new playing season he has had a demonstrably poor record at third tier euro also ran clubs before being sacked at both.
At which point he was in the “Damaged goods” bucket at Ikea waiting for some mug to fancy making a TV cabinet out of a damaged chest of drawers. Along comes Chansiri and sees the “as seen on TV sticker and the 95% off sticker on Xiscos shirt and can’t wait to get his credit card out. I don’t see anything to make me believe he is a genius in waiting. Especially as Xisco now only has the bargain bucket tool set from Ikea to work with.
I hope I’m wrong but I think Chansiri will be queuing at the implausibly long refund desk with the rest of us before long.
