  1. This isn’t just an issue for us who sit in the North Stand, we only get to sit in it about 25 days out of the year, but what about those poor people that live behind it, what if it collapses onto their houses, or the staff who work in the shop/ticket office day in day out. It needs sorting and quick.
  2. Been watching the Steels regularly for the last few years, but i’m a Wednesday season ticket holder so only go to Bracken Moor when no clash, not many clashes next season so now got a season ticket for both teams. Bracken Moor Social club on site where you can get a drink, non members welcome on match days i believe. Although the profits dont go to the football club, pop downstairs to the cafe for a cuppa , i might be serving them in my Wednesday top UTO and UTS
  3. I turned to my son after the miss and said ‘don’t worry it’s our day to day’.
  4. We’ve been to Rochester too this morning after staying overnight in Gillingham. Beautiful place, that’s Rochester by the way not Gillingham.
  5. Had a season ticket in North West corner for most of the 70s , if you got stood in the right place it was one of the best views in the ground.
  6. The stadium really does need some money spending on it. My season ticket is in the North but on Sunday Sat on the South. After the game I had the misfortune of falling on the steps, a kind man who help me up pointed out that I may have fallen on a bottle that was laid on the steps, however whilst sat waiting for the medical team I noticed how uneven the steps were and I could have easily fell due to standing on uneven part. I’m now in a foot cast due to having a broken ankle but it could have been much worse.
  7. I remember this game, I was on Fistral Beach, Newquay listening to the scores and ran round the beach cheering when the score came through. As a Wednesday fan living in Barnsley this was a great score for me, i couldn't wait to get back to school for the bragging rights. If my memory serves me right they won 2-0 at Hillsborough tho that season.
  8. I'm Wednesday till I die I'm Wednesday till I die I know Siam I'm sure Siam I'm Wednesday till I die Sorry if its been done before I couldn't be bothered to read all the big thread.
  9. Kevin, with regards to what you mentioned in the Wednesdayite thread about me taking it on. If I'm honest with myself I don't think I have the skills to take something like this on. My skills lie with budget setting, cost control, forecasting, reporting. Apart from obviously knowing the basic financial stuff I leave the high level stuff to the financial accountant. What I will do however is volunteer myself to work along side others as part of a financial team.
  10. Hope no one minds me posting on this thread, i have been following it closely these last few days. I work as a Management Accountant at a local NHS Trust, we have in our office a brochure from The Civil Society, (civilsociety.co.uk), it's their September edition of their brochure Charity Finance, also details of a Charity Finance Summit on the 07.10.14. Not sure if its any use to anyone at Wednesdayite or SWSC but happy to post out if anyone would like a read.
  11. so anyone still up for a Treasure Hunt? :-)
  12. I'd also like to make a suggestion to Eddie, Kev and Rich, Please don't get too obsessed with thinking the success of a Supporters Club is based on how many members it has signed up via a website, it's not. a supporters club should be just that open to everyone who supports Sheffield Wednesday. The fact you are a Sheffield Wednesday fan should mean you are already a member of the supporters club. Success of something like this should be measured on how it's delivered. Whether it's a fan park with 5k turning up or a kids club with only 100 turning up, if it has enhanced the matchday experience of the fans at Hillsborough then it's a success. Good luck UTO
  13. Yeah you can do all the market research you want, if the need ain't there it ain't there, whether it's a s&&thot , cool, state of the art product or one thought up by the general public. I think the one thing that will make it successful is endorsement from the club.
