It goes beyond which league we are in. I get a real sense from reading this forum and social media that if we stay up, the next manager is on a hiding to nothing. That kind of atmosphere makes me wonder if its worth renewing. We clearly have little to spend to improve, so i'm not sure what DC could do to turn around fanbase

I agree. Dragging up an old thread in this case is a bit moronic. Hooper pretty much started every single game until Xmas. Partnered by Fletcher for a big chunk then Rhodes in others. Rhodes offers the same as Winnall off the bench and Joao offers pace off bench. Fact is Butterfield has been turd, but we weren't to know that. A poor midfield and injuries places more pressure on back line and ultimately cost Carlos his job. I can't fault the deal, we took another card and bust. It happens. The fact he has got some game time and scored a few will help when we sell at end of season. We will make a decent profit.

This for me. I can't fault his first two seasons. We were only a penalty shootout away from another playoff final. We can all sit here and say that Huddersfield tactics were negative, but we could have gone all out and got smashed 3-0 and then it would have been game over. The rigidity of his tactics led to his downfall. Lots of teams in the top divisions have moved to a back three with wing backs and he has stuck to his guns. It just didn't work. One minor point that sticks in my mind is when he was offended this season at being questioned regarding attacking from the off, said something like 'you want me to play with three strikers all the time?!' - yeah we would

Not enough clean sheets costing us. Gone from setting all sorts of clean sheet record two seasons running, to 5 so far. So many games this season we are chasing due to some to turd defensive performances.

No I don’t, we would probably get smashed. but I would rather be looking forward to an exciting cup tie. Nothing else to look forward to. And if a professional footballer (even those who played yesterday) can’t get exited to play a city or a Chelsea then god help us.
