Tonight's match thread photo from me. I'm in Fuerteventura tonight with my wife and stepdaughter before she heads off to Oz next month on a year's working visa... We're in a very quiet coastal Spanish village, no English, and for some unfathomable reason a bar is doing Oktoberfest with a Spanish oompah band doing the music. It's all incredibly random. They just played Sweet Caroline, and Can't Take My Eyes Off You, and because we were singing so enthusiastically they put the microphones in front of us. And obviously we sang 'Feck The Blades', and 'I love you Wednesday'... I'm not sure I can remember being this pi ssed quite so early in ages

Fwiw I agree with this completely. I know many who bought on Early Bird last year who now regret it, and won't do next time. And that's the key for me.

By the way. Some of the loudest voices on this criticising fans who go away are those who don't go to games at all. Who now see themselves as a TrueFan™ because of it.

This subject. Again. I'm in my second season of no season ticket because I'm withholding the usual £1500 I throw Chansiri's way every season. I chose to still attend away games cos I can live with myself for him still getting maybe £30-40 a season from me instead. It works out at about £2.50 every away ticket I buy. And I still get my Wednesday fix in a better atmosphere, I still get to chant for change at Hillsborough, and I still get to see my mates at the games. One of the best things about not giving a **** what people think about me. I'm entirely comfortable with my contribution to the cause.
