  1. Hard to get too mad at them after everything, but this is fair for me.
  2. Could the weather be a factor today? Forecast is very wet for the rest of the day. Although fairly clear and dry right now where I am. Squad depth could help United out if it’s very soggy. But also perfect weather to a 15 foot sliding tackle! Get into em!
  3. Pretty sure that’s his nan
  4. Here here. Let’s get behind them, even if it’s not going well. Bright future ahead for us all at long last.
  5. Not actually a bad idea. Although ASM Global took on the management of the Arena recently and announced plans for investment, so could be an expensive and complicated one if you had to potentially buy them out of their agreement with the council. Arena will need big money spending on it soon and I would imagine the council would be happy to wash their hands of it and get a few million into their coffers at the same time, assuming part of the deal would be to build a new one that was privately owned, as part of the wider redevelopment. I always enjoy this discussion. Nice bit of escapism.
  6. Adam Shaw???
  7. Shame they’re going to jack it all in and back out when they notice 500 unsold seats on the Lower Leppings Lane end on Sunday
  8. Anybody remember her from X Factor, Sarah Whatmore?
  9. Don’t they get sore throats doing that shouty thing.
  10. PA is proper awful so anything will sound bad until we get a new one. I always wanted us to use this, but since The Last Dance came out, noticed a few sports teams now use it. I’d use this remixed version as it’s a bit different, longer and has a tasty kick drum. I’d start it from about 1:30 here.
  11. Interesting that Wilder said Hamer and Arblaster are both fit. Think he’s playing games there as no way Arblaster is fit after a year out. Hamer maybe, but will have lost some sharpness after being out for a while.
  12. HP spoke about football a lot. CW spoke about CW a lot.
  13. I mean we’re just a winning machine this season
  14. I’m just loving this current situation where us fans voice concerns or make suggestions and the club listens and responds or takes action swiftly. Thanks again administrators.
  15. Must admit my personal preference is the uptempo, coked up version. One that just simmers for ages before slowly boil over and becomes a loud, hypnotic loop.
  16. Relatively short lived, but in terms of impact when we desperately needed some quality and leadership, I was a huge fan of Steve Watson.
  17. Pressure is on them. They’ll be relieved more than anything if they get the result. But they know anything less than a win is a massive failure for them. The context is very different to a normal derby. If we lose, we’ll not be too down about it. If they play close to their best, they’ll win. But if they don’t, they’ll be up against a proper team of lads who’ve been through the absolute worst of it this season. Backed by a buoyed, hopeful crowd. We could nick it. If we win, it’ll be legendary. If they win, it’ll have an asterisk next to it and won’t be spoken about too often.
  18. So ungrateful! They were giving you money and gifts
  19. I disagree. It’s not a binary measurement. These are intelligent people who recognise opportunities. They’ll more than likely look around a stadium that is almost sold out despite being rock bottom of the second tier, with a team full of kids and rejects, against a backdrop of massive turmoil and distress. They’re hardly going to think, well I was gonna throw a few hundred million at this but there’s 500 empty seats over there so it’s a no from me.
  20. Assuming we get exciting and proper new owners, I’m really quite excited about next season in league one. Loads of local derbies, bumper crowds and hopefully a winning team.
  21. Don’t underestimate the power of FOMO. Once those LL tickets get down into the hundreds they’ll be a domino effect of folk who were in two minds but then decide they MUST not miss this game. Hopefully, anyway.
  22. Yeah they were shocking in the 90s too. Couldn’t believe how quiet and devoid of passion they were during the Wembley games. However, must say they were amazing in that league cup game in 2016 or whatever it was when we beat them 3-0. Sang non-stop in the second half despite being tonked.
