  1. You and many others (myself included). We kick off 2 weeks on Sunday. I've hardly thought about next season at all, other than will I still be in the north stand!!
  2. I'm sure I was at a match at home where JJ hit the far post in front of the kop. It rebounded to him and with his 2nd shot he did exactly the same thing! Always sticks in my mind unless I dreamt it??
  3. I think there are some big differences here. For starters, the non playing staff don't tend to sign lucrative contracts. He's put pen to paper to commiting to his job for so many years, and gets handsomely rewarded for it! That's different to your average employee that only needs to give a month's notice. Secondly, it seems like he wanted to go on to do better things and work at a higher level. So the way he has mentioned other jobs, while still contracted to wednesday is a little unprofessional in my opinion. Thirdly, he's the leader. The manager....and yet he can't turn up to take training on the first day? I'd hazard a guess most other employees of the club have turned up, noticeably Bannan.....but obviously many others! So yeah, I have questions! But I'm not against him or anything. My initial reaction was actually relief! I think all Wednesday fans should be glad to have such a good manager back with us. Just my thoughts!
  4. I'd take Bernard, Gassama, Bannan, and Pierce Charles over him.
  5. This is the reason I was baffled why we never accepted any bids for him. He's nowhere near our best player and probably turns down bids of £1 million+ Done a decent job for us and a great highlight at Wembley but I won't miss him.
  6. Think he said he was arriving around the 25th / 26th......so mid week sometime.
  7. State of the art training pitches...that only PSV have right now in the whole of Europe. Are things happening??
  8. I've watched just about every Wednesday game in the last 10 years so fully aware thanks. The players I named are not good enough and need moving on. We don't need wholesale changes....just let 5/6 players go and bring in some fresh younger faces.
  9. I think the fact that so many contracts are up is a positive thing. It enables us to free up wages and get in some decent players on the cheap hopefully, if recruitment goes well. Not sure on who is out of contract this summer but be happy to let the following go.... Johnson, Pato, Windass, Smith, Palmer, Ihiekwe, & Lowe.
  10. I like Dennis a lot. Very tricky and looks to have more control and better decision making than a Musaba for example! Be a good signing of it happens!
  11. A few loans is ok with me. It's January and difficult to sign players without getting ripped off. The players we have signed for decent fees recently haven't exactly pulled up any trees! Last season we got the likes of Poveda and Ugbo and Beadle on frees. Great additions to the squad. That's all we need in my opinion.
  12. Couldn’t hit a barn door. I reckon at least 80% of his shots are always off target. Should have buried the 1st half chance. We’d have gone on to win that game comfortably.
  13. Now we all know where Poveda is going, I'll still stay would loved to have seen him back in the blue and white stripes. It could turn out to be a blessing that he hasn't signed, given his injuries etc. But in terms of having a player that got your bum off your seat, we've had few better in the last 10 - 15 years. Box of tricks!
  14. Plus, if we are looking to take steps forward this year, I'd imagine we'd need better than Vaulks, Diaby, Buckley, Byers etc
  15. I really liked him before he got injured. Worked hard, had some quality on the ball. You have to remember he played in a team run by the clueless Xisco so under Röhl, (if still here), I’d imagine he could definitely make an impact! I remember thinking he was way better than Valentin for example, and look at him now!
  16. Nice bloke Darren Moore so I wish him well. But my god, oh to be a failed football manager. This is his 3rd managerial post in less than 12 months - and he's taken away 2 big payoffs in that time. (I accept he shouldn't have been sacked last summer by the way).
  17. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13042271/orlando-city-duncan-mcguire-blackburn-transfer-mls.html Looks like the McGuire transfer might have fallen through! What a shame hey!
  18. Bolton friend of mine just told me they're looking at Reece James.
  19. Big match tonight, I'm just hoping Röhl hasn't tied up too much of his preparation time putting together his presentation to entice the American lad!
  20. Same here, said the same thing. It was obvious he was a class player. Good age too so great chance to make a good profit.
  21. Perhaps the fact he's dead would be more of an issue than his tiny hands!
  22. When asked whether he will be i charge for the Huddersfield game, he replies with “we’ll see tomorrow” that’s my takeaway from this interview…..maybe he knows something already?
  23. Composed again today against Leeds away. I can see why he starts every game, great control, never loses it cheaply and always commits to a tackle. Honestly don’t get the negative comments he gets on here. I think he’ll get better and better too.
  24. I hope he sticks to 4 at the back. That’s the way he wants to play. Get Byers and Momo in to sure up midfield. Fletcher up top, with Musaba and Delgado off him. Gassama off the bench to terrify tired defenders. Easy! I’m going 2-0 win!
