  1. Not just Chansiri, but Dave Allen too. Football fans can be proper weird, they’re so loyal to people at the club, almost as if criticising them is criticising the club itself.
  2. Hamer is one of those players that is quality in the championship but nowhere near the required standard for a side challenging the European places in the Prem.
  3. I hope his winner against us secures him a new 5 year contract on double his wages
  4. Always been an embarrassment I’ll be amazed if they can get it up at night
  5. He’s no longer of this parish But he’s so obsessed, I fully expect he’s signed up again with a new username
  6. That’s an issue with the implementation of VAR, not whether potential infringements in the area should be overlooked because of the potential outcome. It’s essentially re-refereeing some parts of play and not others, as if those moments are in isolation. Football is a butterfly effect, you either re-referee it all or none. My preference is none.
  7. It seems to evolved that way but it absolutely shouldn’t it’s just a different type of free kick
  8. Re the penalty. That’s given as a free kick 10-15 times a game against a winger trying to block a full back playing down the line - and that’s just literally attempting a block coming in from the side where the full back’s follow through initiates the contact. This was a defender coming front on, studs up, forward momentum. A foul all day long. A defender’s cheap shot. Similar to a player going through 1-1 with the keeper and after putting it high/wide, a late slide comes in cleaning him out. They’ve been getting away with it for years. Hopefully more are given for similar. It also shows the futility of VAR. Half of us think it’s a stonewall pen, the other half think it’s nowhere near a foul. It’s just opinions, and we’re substituting one for another. Absolute waste of time.
  9. NFL block on his marker
  10. There were a few good suggestions that I’ve forgot, and it looks like a few new ones have entered the fray. Keep them coming, new thread is due in a couple of weeks
  11. It was past the keeper before he saw it. Ridiculous decision. Yet another subjective decision replaced by a different subjective decision. I give it 3 years before I give up on football altogether, it’s ruined as a spectacle. All those who clamoured for VAR are getting exactly what they deserve.
  12. Don’t mind Scotland until the Scots start piping up. Hungary are superior in every department though, Scotland needed a win tonight.
  13. Are we saying it’s worth recording MOTD then?
  14. Because football fans in general are entitled, know-nothing idiots. Which is exactly why we have VAR.
  15. Again, that is just subjective. The % is meaningless. Even if they weren’t, 90% of decisions being correct would tell me that VAR wasn’t needed. It tells me refs were doing a brilliant job.
  16. Only from the point of view of offsides. Literally everything else is subjective. The statistic regarding the increase in correct decisions is completely meaningless.
  17. And Arsenal’s doesn’t count due to Pires’ disgraceful blatant dive with twist & pike against Leicester to con a draw.
  18. Tremendous stuff, it really is
  19. You’ve managed to appear more unhinged than any of Blunkett’s various guises. Have a read back over the last couple of pages and ask yourself if you’re happy with how you’ve conducted yourself.
  20. Do you have someone looking out for you?
  21. Honestly nothing more tragic than people discussing whether a pub was Wednesday or United, or bragging it about it never being ‘taken’ All the while normal punters wishing all the football fans would fuuck off somewhere else and kick the shiit out of each other in private And they wonder why coppers treat them the way they do
