Gassama yet again for Rangers
jerseyowl replied to One De Bilde's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I didn't think of it in that context. It does help knowing it won't prolong our agony any longer than necessary -
Report a breach below, if enough people do so, then the ICO will follow up with the club and ask from specific documentation. The club need at a minimum need to have placed signs explaining the use of cctv, evidence they have performed a data protection impact assessment. Which among other things explains the legal basis for its use. Hearing how the club is run, I bet those basics aren't in place, hence it's illegal use. https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/report-a-breach/personal-data-breach/personal-data-breach-reporting/

Facial recognition i.e your biometric data is classed as special category personal data. It is given the highest level of protection under data protection laws. If the club are using it, then they have to have undertaken certain legal requirements (which I very much doubt). I would suggest complaints are reported to the Information Comissioners Office.

If Channers knew what he was doing he could have put him on the market 2 months ago and easily got double his value and avoided all these cash flow issues. I guess lucky for us the above didn't transpire otherwise we wouldn't be up for sale. On the bright side we can purchase him back for 12 million or so, when we reach the Premier league
-
Hope it's not too late, and we can move swiftly onto securing some emergency funding, to pay the staff and players who have handed in their contract terminations. I assume those are ripped up if they are paid in the 14 day window?

This one was actually free but did need to register on the site. The more articles the better, adds further pressure.

How Sheffield Wednesday descended into chaos under Dejphon Chansiri’s ownership By Philip Buckingham https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6465422/2025/07/02/sheffield-wednesday-dejphon-chansiri-ownership/?campaign=14079821&source=athletic_targeted_email&userId=5828139

The KC money from Man City is about to come in, so too are the tv rights cash. If he gets a bit for Röhl too and people actually buy the new merch then I reakon he will be good for a few months. Then matchday revenue comes in, I think perhaps we see trouble arriving again in October/November. Its going to be a slow and painful existence
-
Yes absolutely are. That's why they have come out on the media, using symon as a mouthpiece. They need Chansiri to continue dialogue.

I don't think hostility at this moment in time is going to help. I know most people won't agree with that and I appreciate why. There are families out there without receiving what they are due. However, we need Chansiri to engage with the offer on the table, not walk away because he feels disrespected. Unfortunately we need to massage his ego this one last time. So can be specific why he cannot accept the current offer. Rather than reject it out of hand he needs to say what will work for him and who he owes money to. If at that stage the consortium claim that it is completely unworkable and share the detail then at that stage it must become hostile to force his hand. There is one offer out there to work with and that needs to be the focus, get him at the table. Otherwise we may as well write off the next 3 years minimum.

Yes indeed, thanks to @room0035 for clarification on the issue. Chansiri needs to feel a win here rightly or wrongly so need to play to his ego some how. The goal here is to sell the club right, so some how smoothing this out may help.

Not defending Chansiri but as Symon said he is a man of pride and abit old fashioned when it comes to business deals. Chansiri obviously has an issue with Shaw over some money owed. Don't know the history or who is right or wrong. But it might go a long way to repairing that relationship to simply pay Chansiri what he thinks they owe him. Or at least try to apologise or build something into the deal to overcome the issue Chansiri still has. Then traction with this group might actually move forward. At the moment I think he is resistant due to Shaws involvement, and I think they need to move past this.

Online Protest - This Saturday.
jerseyowl replied to ThaiWife's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Message needs to be stronger and clearer that just 'enough is enough' IMO How about SELL UP NOW or LEAVE NOW. Also for this to have impact you need to trend the idea on social media channels. So that the message reaches far and wide. Good luck -
This investment sounds great from the sales pitch but anything that creates a change of ownership would be. How does this play out? Depends if the cash flow problem is short term or terminal. Given that ticket sales will slow, merch sales will significantly drop off, then he may end up failing to pay the tax man. A winding up order will come and he then will be forced to call in the administrators to protect the last of his investment, then hopefully a change of ownership happens. I'm sure this will also increase our suitors, since the opportunity increases given a lower purchase price. If cash flow is a short term issue but we find ourselves in a transfer embargo, in 9 months relegation will be a certainty and the clubs price drops by half. He will be then stick around longer to see if he can recoup losses, that his pride won't allow him to write off. It's a fools game, losing 100k a week by all accounts and the longer it continues the less chance he has to recoup the loss it just becomes bigger potentially putting other businesses at risk. Whatever happens, even though we will still support the team, coaches, back room staff, we must defund chansiri to force his hand in these matters.

Is this LinkedIn profile actually our chairman and not someone just trolling us? Has anyone, supporter or journalist ever asked the club?
-
Unfortunately I don't think some of our supporters understand how impactful this signing will be. Think we have had an excellent window, perhaps a few loans didn't come off. If we are top 12 with a chance to make the playoffs at the January transfer window then I'll be very happy with the progress made.

Yup every game is on there by the looks of it

Hopefully all 3 and has Southamptons super computer in his briefcase

The wheels had already begun to fall off in League 1, that is purely evident in... Losing our favourable league position with points in hand to shybo teams. Huge momentum swing for Ipswich. The play off semi final first leg. Credit to DM for providing a miracle. Chansiri's lack of sucession planning, not just DM but other key positions such as head of recruitment, head of operations etc So whilst it might be a shock to many Wednesday fans it wasn't to the neutrals or the bookies. We were on the road to relegation before the season started.

Chansiri’s Reign - Is it nearing an end ?
jerseyowl replied to bolton9owl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
There are 2 ways we depart ways with Mr Chansiri. 1) We enter bankruptcy 2) We fluke it to the Premier league and he gets an offer he finds reasonable for what he has invested -

Sensible transfers and sensible management We blew 8 million on Rhodes and has impacted us significantly, we could have bought the top 6 in that list if for better decision making. Until we get some senior management to act as a buffer between Chansiri and the playing staff/players and supporters, we will continue to make huge mistakes. -
Agreed, I've already told the wife no merch for xmas and bday for me or the kids. Not willing to put our money in considering how it is getting squandered. I was so positive this season, until it dawned on me in pre-season that we have gone backwards since May.
