Full Boycott Against Middlesbrough - How Many Tickets Left?
Lyndon replied to BIG D's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
£5K is peanuts. It will be eaten up by ticket office staff wages who deal with it(who aren't getting paid anyway!). Far more is spent on drinks, pies and merchandise at Hillsborough each match by those who still refuse to stop buying. -
Full Boycott Against Middlesbrough - How Many Tickets Left?
Lyndon replied to BIG D's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Defintely need home stands empty. Yes, I would rather support the team as a season ticket holder but the situation is so dire we have to step up the boycotts and protests. There's actually Facebook posts about people disagreeing with all the various boycotts saying it is stopping the staff from being paid. Having a right thread with a couple of guys. They just don't get it. I asked one if he was a season ticket holder as we have 3 tickets. He got abusive and said he wouldn't answer it which probably says it all. I will be at Charlton. Again fans complaining about that but with 3000 tickets at max £30 each will mean d*ickhead at 5% will only get less that £5K from it which won't touch the sides. -
Blimey. First two editions only dropped through my letter box this morning and haven't had time to read them yet!

Cheers for that. Just ordered the first two copies as physical copies rather than digital

POLL: For SEASON TICKET HOLDERS ONLY...
Lyndon replied to Daveyboy66's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
We have 3 that we always renew in the (ridiculously) early bird phase but won't renew until he has gone now. -
What's even worse is those that reportedly bought tickets but didn't go so they can collect priority points. I am speechless if that is true. Absolutely selfish and need naming and shaming. As a season ticket holder (3 of) who will not renew if ****** is still there we didn't go last night but would have under other circumstances.

The Trust need to attend and tell him that fans will not renew ST whilst he is there, boycott games, merchanise etc. He won;t take any notice but whatever is said is reported back WITHOUT the permission of the club - no redaction and agreed minutes fiasco like last time. Tell us how it is. There is no communication coming out the club. This is a chance to report back to EFL, new Regulator et al. I would be extremely concerned if the Trust don't attend. We need to know what is being said. Now is not the time to act like petulant kids. We (the Trust) need to take he high ground and keep the pressure on. Act professionally.

We have 3 and won't renew, neither will a friend who we meet at the match.

Protest in London on September 4th
Lyndon replied to Wednesdayitewastaken's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
What about organising a coach or two to travel from Sheffield to London specifically to attend? We would get TV coverage on the setting off from Sheffield (especially if the pickup was outside the ground!) and then arrival at the Thaicembassy. Would Wednesdayite or others be able to arrange? I'd happily go down on the coach for a day out and protest! -
Way thinks are we'll play Bannan on Sunday thinking he is registered only to find out afterwards he isn't and get another EFL sanction and points deduction. Mark mi'words!
-
I'm going Sunday and I've seen these on Amazon 60 for £8-99. I'm happy to buy 60 and give them out to people before we go through the turnstiles Whistles One of the reviews is quite encouraging!
-
I've just googled whistles to buy a few and it came up with women's clothing! (apparently there is a women's clothing company called Whistles) I just hope our fanbase don't order a dress by mistake. On the otherhand it may confuse the facial recognition CCTV if we all turn up in dresses (and invade the pitch!) Maybe the Trust could buy a shed load of whistles (the blowing type!) and hand them out? I'll be getting some good loud referee whistles but even cheaper ones will do WAWhistlesAW

I have been totally against an on the pitch protest due to all the after effects (bans, fines etc.) however even I now as a 60+ guy think this is probably the only way to get nationwide coverage and attention. We have 3 season tickets for the Grandstand (since our lad was 6 in the last season of Premiership football and we moved from our 20 years in the North stand to what was the family area in the Grandstand - padded seats and armrests! ) Unfortunately we won't be at the first home game as he is getting married that day. It would need banners to be taken on etc. and needs to be a careful walk on - not a rush of kids

On the pitch protest 1st game of the season
Lyndon replied to gypsyowl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Absolutely not. We don't need any more fines or points deductions for invading the pitch which would achieve nothing. Protest outside or in the stands if necessary but NOT on the pitch. I don't think (fingers crossed!) DC will be there come the start of the season (we might not even have a game to watch if things take a turn for the worse) -

I noticed that and for this year have taken the £10 extra charge for our 3 physical tickets. It does mean we can still pass onto family and friends when we cannot go. A friend had the digital one for this current season and he said it went in his wallet but I think he has Android without any issues so I guess it will go in the Apple Wallet as well OK. I wasn't quite sure how it would work when I was buying 3 tickets as it said the digital ones would be sent to the main administrator (i.e. me) and how I would then distribute to my wife and son. Downside to the digital ones is you cannot pass onto friends to use (unless you lend them your phone!). Cynical side of me thinks this is one of the reasons for doing it! Having said all that I use my iPhone for paying for everything cashless so probably will try the digital ones next season.

No not received ours yet either
-
yes a few times. They ring you up and ask if you want them and then take your payment.
-
It is on PayPal where you check out as a guest so you don't need to have an account. Friend of mine did that and had no issue. Season ticket info is unaffected
-
renewed our 3

Yes bought a lot using normal PayPal. Actually bought some stuff earlier today on it
