Could have been McCabe. Was during the Warnock era though.
If putting up a cardboard honours board was the craziest thing McCabe did for us, then I'm fine with it.
United fans had a love hate relationship with McCabe. Mainly because he sold our best players at the first opportunity. Looking back, he was keeping the club in business and the money received helped keep funding the club... something your boss could learn from.
Whilst they hurt at the time, selling Walker, Naughton, Maguire, Brooks and Ramsdale were correct decisions, all youth players who we got decent money for at the time.
